Mia Regan has reached the pinnacle, yet her journey has only just begun.
After spending just five minutes with Mia Regan, it becomes evident that she cannot be easily categorized. Renowned for her modeling career and distinctive fashion taste, Regan communicates with an openness that feels refreshingly candid. She’s not here to present a façade; her aim is to continue her personal growth. “Confidence is something you learn,” she shares early in our chat, and from my perspective, it’s obvious she is committed to ongoing learning.
Currently, she’s connecting from her parents' home in Wiltshire, where she’s enjoying a weekend with family. The backdrop of her setting—a raw chipboard wall reminiscent of an East London café—offers little insight into her world. Her recently darkened hair cascades in soft, natural waves, and she dons a royal blue hoodie with deep burgundy nails. Her visit home coincides with her brother's return, and she beams when talking about their closeness, remarking, "Everyone jokes that we share a brain," leading me to speculate whether her family serves as her anchor.
Mia, at 22, embodies a serene presence and a subtle introspection that isn’t always anticipated from someone frequently in the public eye. However, those familiar with her journey understand she has never conformed to typical norms.
At 14, Regan was discovered while attending The Clothes Show in Birmingham with her mother. “I think it happens for many girls there,” she reflects. “Looking back, it’s interesting because [modeling] wasn’t something I considered; my focus was on netball (a sport she mentions she might have pursued professionally) and academics. I felt flattered. I’ve always had an interest in fashion, so I was open to it. Even my parents approached it casually—more of a 'let's see how it goes' attitude.” Together, they explored several agencies, ultimately finding a good match with Storm Management. “It felt organic; everything just aligned perfectly, and I’m thankful for that! I didn’t think too much about it—modeling wasn’t my life’s ambition.” Clearly, Regan has trusted her instincts, as she remains with the agency eight years later.
Social media, once an afterthought, evolved into a significant aspect of her career. “At the time I was scouted, content creation wasn’t as prominent. However, as it grew, I became increasingly enthusiastic about sharing on social media,” she explains. “I have always dedicated significant effort to any creative endeavor, like art, so it felt natural to transition into that area and share things I loved.” Currently, her Instagram account, @mimimoocher (a combination of two childhood nicknames), boasts over 597,000 followers. It’s safe to say she is familiar with fame, a situation heightened by her five-year relationship with Romeo Beckham, which ended in 2024. I’m curious how she manages this attention and maintains her composure.
“I’ve always stayed incredibly close to the friends I went to school with and grew up alongside,” she shares. “They know me well, and nothing has changed there. As for my work or social media connections, everyone has been really supportive and encouraging. My experiences have been very positive.”
Regan’s creative spirit shines through in her wardrobe choices. "When I began [on] social media and started gaining a following, my style was quite colorful, playful, and graphic,” she explains. “It coincided with the lockdown phase [during COVID], when people craved vibrancy and fun. I certainly did, so that was how I dressed.” She was especially keen on supporting small businesses and emerging designers. “I feel like the independent brands I adored were particularly playful at that time—everyone embraced that aesthetic,” she recalls. “But then, as time passes, you start to resemble your mother more,” she laughs. “It’s amusing but true. My mom favors muted colors; her style is chic and classy, quite archival. I’ve started leaning towards earthy, neutral tones, which makes me feel more at ease with my own style.”
As a model, Regan has collaborated with prominent fashion brands like Gucci, H&M, Puma, and Victoria Beckham, yet she has always aimed to keep her experiences authentic. When I inquire about her initial expectations of the fashion industry, she pauses. “I honestly didn’t have any expectations,” she admits. “I just appreciated fashion for what it is. That said, I learn something new every day in the fashion world, especially while traveling. Whether in Milan, Paris, or elsewhere, you uncover lessons about life and yourself.”
“For anyone who thinks fashion is a one-dimensional experience, you really take what you can from it while filtering out the noise,” she says. “I simply enjoy the creative aspect; being whimsical and having fun.”
A recent highlight of Regan's career has been her collaboration with stylist Harry Lambert, known for dressing stars like Harry Styles and Emma Corrin
