      The Southern California desert seems to have bypassed spring and jumped directly into summer mode. Temperatures in Indio are predicted to soar to an impressive 102ºF during the first weekend of Coachella. But this writer, who prefers air conditioning and dislikes sweating, is not feeling any FOMO! Nevertheless, many residents of Los Angeles are enthusiastically heading out east, including stars like Justin and Hailey Bieber. The couple was spotted in Palm Springs on Thursday, just about a day before Coachella kicks off, dressed in matching baggy jeans while out for lunch. Hailey’s flip-flops caught my attention, as I doubt she’ll be wearing them on the festival grounds the following day. Why? While they’re great for dining in Palm Springs, flip-flops are not suited for the dust and dirt at the Empire Polo Club.
