Tennille Jenkins is a content creator who exemplifies that life is rarely straightforward. She has experienced approximately four different career paths, with her latest journey characterized by reinvention, resilience, and relatability. Ranging from interior design to private aviation and now full-time content creation, Jenkins’s trajectory is both inspiring and unpredictable.
Jenkins’s first career was rooted in interior design and architecture, subjects she pursued in college. After graduating, she began her professional journey as an interior designer, creating beautiful spaces. However, her life took a turn when she entered her second chapter as a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. For several years, she dedicated herself to her family, embracing this role completely. As her daughters matured and she neared her 30s, Jenkins felt compelled to return to the workforce. With her passion for interior design waning, she shifted gears to become a corporate flight attendant for a private aviation firm.
Through her work in private aviation, she crossed paths with NBA legend Magic Johnson, and they quickly formed a connection. Jenkins became his private flight attendant, traveling the world with him for eight and a half years. Though it was an exciting and glamorous experience, by 2016, she yearned for a personal creative avenue. This led to the creation of The Tennille Life, her blog and Instagram page—a dedicated space for herself. What began as a side project soon grew, forcing her to balance her aviation job with her expanding online presence. By 2020, she experienced burnout and recognized it was time for yet another change.
Thus, she left her job and fully committed to her fourth chapter: content creation. Over the past four years, Jenkins has cultivated a devoted following, establishing herself as a refreshing voice on the subject of aging. Her content—which is authentic, candid, and genuine—resonates because of its truthfulness. Tune into the latest episode of Second Life to discover how Jenkins continues to evolve, allowing others to grow alongside her.
