"Hero Cities of the Great Victory": May 9th at the Island of Dreams

      In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and 60 years since Moscow was awarded the honorary title of "Hero City", a large-scale celebration will be held on the Island of Dreams, organized jointly with the Prefecture of the Southern Administrative District of Moscow, the Moscow State Budget Committee "OKC Southern Administrative District", GBU CD "Personality" and GBU DSCThe World of the Young."

      The events will be held in the southern landscape park and in the space of the city promenade on Moscow Square on May 9 from 12:00 to 16:00.



      The symbol of the day will be the installation "Hero Cities" created specifically for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, which clearly shows the connection between times and generations. The design consists of nine vertical panels, each of which is dedicated to one of the Hero Cities. This is a real "chronicle in person" — a monument to the steadfastness, unity and courage of the Soviet people.

      Visitors will find a rich program that will find a response in everyone's heart: a concert by the best bands of the South of Moscow — holders of honorary titles of the Moscow Department of Culture, a reconstruction performance "Making a movie", where they can participate as actors of the film.

      In addition, guests will be able to test their knowledge in a historical quiz, participate in master classes and family gambling. And in the themed photo zones, you can take soulful photos to take the memory of the holiday with you.

      An exhibition of military equipment and a field kitchen will be open throughout the event.
