While it doesn’t happen frequently, there’s one product I’ve been anticipating for months since I first learned about it. What product could this be, you might ask? If you’ve been following my articles for some time, you’ll know that I adore a natural, glowy makeup look, and foundation usually isn’t my go-to. However, there’s one brand I consistently turn to when my skin needs a lift—Jones Road. For those who may not be aware, Jones Road is created by the renowned industry icon Bobbi Brown. After selling her namesake makeup brand to Estée Lauder Companies in 1995, she established Jones Road in 2020, and it has lived up to all my expectations. Known for her no-makeup makeup looks, Jones Road focuses on high-quality, user-friendly formulas that enhance your natural beauty, making you feel like the best version of yourself.       The Formula

      So, what makes this formula stand out? First and foremost, it’s incredibly lightweight and feels almost weightless on the skin. It’s designed to create the impression that you’re not wearing any makeup at all. Instead of offering heavy coverage, this tinted moisturizer works to even out skin tone and minimally conceal any discoloration or redness. I like to view it as a blurring Instagram filter in a tube. As the name indicates, this product is highly moisturizing as well. The formula contains hyaluronic acid for skin hydration and protects the moisture barrier from water loss. It's suitable for all skin types and comes in 16 shades, catering to various skin tones.

      The Application

      Another fantastic aspect of this product is how simple it is to apply. Since I started using it, my morning makeup routine has become considerably quicker. The brand suggests applying the product directly onto your face, and you can blend it with either your fingers or a brush. I’ve tried both techniques, and while blending with fingers gives a very natural look, I prefer using a brush to avoid any mess. I have combination skin with dry patches on my cheeks and near my under-eyes, but this creamy formula didn’t cling to those areas or worsen my dryness. Instead, it glided on smoothly, resulting in a natural-looking finish. I was slightly concerned about it becoming oily or greasy during the day, but unlike other tinted moisturizers I’ve tried, this one offers a demi-matte finish, which worked perfectly for me.

      The Results

      As you can see, this tinted moisturizer is almost undetectable on the skin. What I appreciated while trying it was that it helped blur redness or discoloration while still allowing my natural skin texture to shine through. All I added was a bit of concealer to my under-eyes and my favorite Jones Road blush, and my makeup base was completed in just five minutes.

      So, how did it hold up throughout the day? I've used tinted moisturizers in the past that looked great in the morning but ended up looking overly greasy or worn off by the time I got home from work. However, I was impressed with this formula’s staying power. My makeup remained intact all day, and my skin still appeared radiant when I walked in the door hours later. One thing to note is that I had to powder my complexion a bit throughout the day because I have a very oily T-zone, which was to be expected. Overall, I’ve completely fallen for this product and can envision using it frequently throughout the spring and summer.
