Rising stars of Russian cinema received an Advance Payment

On April 18, KinoReporter magazine once again awarded its annual Advance Award to promising young artists who have performed well on Russian screens. This is a big event in the world of Russian cinema, which is traditionally held as part of the Moscow International Film Festival. The magazine has been a partner of the MIFF since its foundation.

The winners of 2025 were 20-year-old Alyona Dolgolenko and 25-year-old Vladislav Miller.Alyona Dolgolenko received an award for her vivid and soulful performance as Natalia Goncharova, the wife and muse of the great poet, in the film "The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin". Thanks to the young actress, it was easy to believe that she not only inspired Alexander Sergeevich to brilliant lines, but was also someone for whom it was worth risking her life.Vladislav Miller, the star of the Moscow Oleg Tabakov Theater, was awarded the prize for his poignant and profound work on his role in the military drama "Not on the List," the opening film of the 47th Moscow International Film Festival. Vladislav created an inspiring image of a young Soviet officer who did not have time to gain experience, but who, along with his older comrades, was ready to defend his beloved Homeland to the last drop of blood."Supporting young people at the very beginning of their careers is an important and noble cause. The Advance Award is an ideologically important national project. By opening the way to success and popularity for talented aspiring artists, we contribute to the development of the entire Russian film industry. Our opinion is listened to, so we take a very careful approach to the selection of laureates, and the professional intuition and expertise of the "Film Reporter" have never failed," said Maria Lemesheva, a well-known journalist and film critic, as well as the permanent host of the ceremony.

Receiving her award, Alena Dolgolenko said that it was very valuable to her.:

"Even the name of the Advance award sounds very responsible. So, I want to justify it and develop further. The role in the film "The Prophet" is a very important job for me. And now, every time I look at my crystal award, I will remember the people I worked with."

Vladislav Miller, in turn, noted that it was incredibly pleasant and exciting for him to receive the "Film Reporter" award.

"I will say without coquetry: at the moment, "Not on the list" is my main picture and the main role in the movie. I sincerely tried to do my job. We have done a lot of preparatory work, we have even completed military training. In addition, this is a unique case when a movie is shot by a theater team. This happened only when Oleg Nikolaevich Efremov was shooting the film "The Bridge is under Construction" with young artists of Sovremennik. No one else can boast of this. Therefore, I am doubly pleased that this particular picture was marked by a "Film reporter," said the artist.

He noted that he shares this award with all his partners.

"I would like to say a special thanks to Vladimir Lvovich Mashkov. I consider him to be an incredibly talented Russian artist. And I am very glad and proud to have the honor to work with him so closely and so much. Therefore, I try to justify his trust," Vladislav Miller emphasized.

This is the 14th Advance Award ceremony. The very first award went to Daria Melnikova in 2012 for her role in the film "Steel Butterfly". Anfisa Chernykh, Milos Bikovich, Yulia Alexandrova, Roman Kurtsyn, Angelina Strechina, Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Irina Starshenbaum, Danil Steklov, Aglaya Tarasova, Kuzma Kotrelev, Elizaveta Ishchenko took over the baton.

"Without false modesty, I can say that we are not mistaken. The fates and careers of our laureates are proof of this. I am sure that this year's winners, Vladislav Miller and Alyona Dolgolenko, will also justify their "Advance" and become a worthy decoration of Russian cinema," added Maria Lemesheva.

Last year, Anna Peresild received the "Advance", whose popularity was brought by the role of Aigul in the TV series "The Word of a Kid. Blood on the asphalt." After its release, Anna's number of subscribers on social networks became many times more than that of her star mother, the world's first actress-cosmonaut Julia Peresild. Mark Edelstein also became the winner of the award in 2024, who played the main role in the film "One Hundred Years Ahead", and after receiving the "Advance" gained worldwide fame thanks to his starring role in the drama "Anora", which won the Palme d'Or and the Oscar.

The ceremony was attended by Daria Avratinskaya, Maria Andreeva, Yuri Antonov, Dmitry Astrakhan, Elena Valyushkina, Tatiana Vedeneeva, Marina Vorozhishcheva, Oleg Gaas, Alexey German Jr., Alexander Gorbatov, Lyanka Gryu, Polina Gukhman, Ruben Dishdishyan, Marina Domozhirova, Evgeny Dyatlov, Elena Zakharova, Nika Zdorik, Lev Zulkarnaev, Lisa Ishchenko, Ekaterina Kabak, Vladimir Kanukhin, Egor Koreshkov, Dina Korzun, Masha Koshina, Yana Koshkina, Agnia Kuznetsova, Roman Kurtsyn, Maria Lugovaya, Alexey Lukin, Dmitry Lysenkov, Diana Milutina, Egor Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky, Maria Mikhalkova-Konchalovskaya, Mark Malik Murashkin, Elena Nikolaeva, Ingrid Olerinskaya, Alexander Oleshko, Alexey Onezhen, Askar Nigamedzyanov, Anna Peskova, Timur Rodriguez, Oleg Savostyuk, Kuzma Saprykin, Mikhail Troinik, Valeria Fedorovich, Sergey Chliyants, Anna Churina, Elizaveta Shakira, Sergey Shakurov, Alexander Yatsenko and many other leading representatives of Russian cinema. Television stars, jury members and participants of the MIFF programs, and foreign guests were also invited to the award.

The musical headliner of the evening was the band SEREBRO, which opens a new chapter in its history. Keeping in touch with the past, the musicians strive to innovate in everything from advanced technologies in the video to extraordinary 3D costumes on stage. At the ceremony, the band appeared in front of the audience in a new line-up. Today there are three girls AYA, DI and KEIKO, each of whom has her own field of creative experiments. KEIKO is the lyricist, AYA is the vocal producer of studio recordings, and DI is the choreographer. Next year, SEREBRO celebrates its 20th anniversary and promises to celebrate it loudly with a large-scale concert.

This year, the partners are the legendary brand of niche perfumes MONTALE Paris, the network of premium flower shops Python Flowers, the Prunier brand from the French cognac house with a 400-year history, the Shokogolik confectionery and Marutaka, a leading manufacturer of beauty devices for face and body care.
