"Fashion as a statement: Lucy Pylaeva in a sculpture dress at the closing of the Moscow International Film Festival"
At the closing of the 47th Moscow International Film Festival, you can always see star outfits, but this evening Lucy Pylaeva, a fashion blogger, TV presenter and style expert, attracted special attention.
The image in which Lucy appeared was impossible not to notice: the sculptural ivory dress, as if carved out of light, turned out to be not just a fashionable gesture, but a symbolic act.
This futuristic outfit, referring to architectural aesthetics and the fluid forms of nature, has become a visual manifesto. It was complemented by two snow-white ribbons on the wrists, with the names of four female directors who presented their full-length works in the main program of the festival on April 24. These are Magdalena Ralcheva, Stasia Tolstaya, Maria Reisen and Isabella Torre.
"I wanted this evening to be about more than just dresses and cameras. It was my way of saying, "I see you. I believe in you. And I'm proud of what you're doing," Lucy shared. So, the fashion expert turned a fashionable outlet into a tribute to women's cinema and a bold author's statement.
