I reside in Paris and possess refined taste—here’s my entire summer wish list.
The fashion world is in constant flux, and the transition between seasons is particularly invigorating as it ushers in fresh designs and color palettes that align with the changing weather. The sunny forecast encourages vibrant shades, and this summer has seen the return of trends from the past (some might be more divisive, but more on that later), along with recognizable styles from recent seasons that embody the essence of summer, such as mini dresses and bandeau necklines. Summer is an exhilarating time. Perhaps it's the anticipation of summer vacations, but the warm weather allows for a laid-back approach to style; we start to see reinvented catwalk trends make their way into stores, and having fewer weather-related restrictions means we can dress more for enjoyment rather than functionality. Additionally, as a dress enthusiast, I can repeatedly wear my favorite garment. This June, I'm focusing on two key influences in fashion. Since the introduction of Superfine at the Met Gala, I've started to explore everyday dandyism, blending power dressing with tailored looks and suit ensembles. Furthermore, Jacquemus' recent beach club campaign has drawn me into a world of lemon yellow and skirt suits, and I'm particularly enamored with the brand's Ovalo blazer!
My style tends to lean towards minimalism, yet I aim for a (hopefully) maximalist effect. While I appreciate and analyze trends, I am predominantly attracted to sleek silhouettes, so I've been searching for ways to diversify my wardrobe while staying true to my personal style. Summer is when I become most adventurous with colors, and this year, I'm drawn to yellow and playful accessories that evoke a sense of childlike nostalgia, which appears to resonate with many others as well, particularly with the popularity of whimsical handbag charms (Labubu, I'm looking at you). Keep reading for the styles and beauty items I'm eager to incorporate into my collection. Summer is about fun, and judging by what's currently available, there's plenty of joy to explore!

**Reformation**
Lucia Linen Jacket
I absolutely love the sleeveless waistcoat trend of 2023, but I find that a longer, slightly flared sleeve suits my style better. I'm delighted to see this buttoned co-ord set available at Reformation. It provides a uniform and sophisticated alternative to a summer dress.
With its fluted sleeve and boxy, longline shape, this piece has a clever structure. Aeron plays with Scandinavian influences, creating garments that prioritize both function and fashion.
**Monsoon**
The India Edit Colette Ruched Bandeau Top & Scarf Ivory
The collaboration between Monsoon and India Edit merges early-2000s silhouettes with flowing, natural fabrics and a palette that ranges from neutrals to moss green and burgundy. It captures the essence of a European summer and stands out as one of my favorite brand partnerships to date.

**FAITHFULL**
Hedy Strapless Gathered Linen and Voile Maxi Dress
As a Fashion Editor, having favorite brands is a significant statement, yet Faithfull consistently impresses, particularly in summer. This year, the brand has gained popularity in the UK market, aided by its presence in Net A Porter and more recently, Harvey Nichols. Its S/S 2025 collection features contemporary florals, playful stripes, and my new favorite shade, a soft yellow.
I assure you, a sleeveless A-line white mini dress is a versatile choice for the summer. Prior to investing in a white mini, I leaned towards midi or maxi lengths, and while I still appreciate them, there's an effortless and polished quality to this look. My style hack? Hair up in a tortoiseshell claw clip, pairing with slip-on mules and an oversized handbag. Voilà!
**Massimo Dutti**
Long 100% Linen Halter Dress
Massimo Dutti is my top choice among high street retailers. It effectively bridges the gap between entry-level designer and fast fashion, focusing on clean lines and modern styles. This particular shade of yellow is my pick for SS25. The classic halter neck and fitted silhouette will remain timeless summer staples.

**Albaray**
Black Pedal Pusher
I've been contemplating the capri pants or pedal pusher trend in recent months. I used to refer to my ill-fitting school trousers from the early 2000s as pedal pushers, yet fashion often redefines our ideas about previous trends. Now, three decades later, I'm surprisingly fond of the concept of intentionally cropped trousers, especially when styled thoughtfully. I always look for plastic-free options, which was a challenge with this item, but Albaray saved the day with their slack pedal pushers. My style suggestion: pair them with a tank top, a loose-fit poplin shirt, and heeled flip flops (like the ones below).
