I haven't even relocated yet, but I've already purchased these 15 stylish home fragrance discoveries.
Throughout my 20s, I've moved several times, and my most recent relocation took me from the lively streets of New York City to the lush, often rainy mountains of the Pacific Northwest. It’s been just a couple of weeks since I packed up to enjoy the summer with my family in Washington, but I’ve already immersed myself in shopping for home fragrances I've been wanting to buy for the past year. Imagining my ideal living space has given me the chance to explore my wish list and purchase the aromatic home essentials I’ve loved as a beauty editor, envisioning them in my home. This time, I’m excited to share a few of my favorites—ranging from candles that remind me of gardens full of cherished flowers to surface cleaners that keep my counters, floors, and everything else smelling delightful.
1. Candles
**Maison Louis Marie**
*Le Bouquet Candles*
Notes: Sandalwood, cedarwood, vetiver, nutmeg, cinnamon, amber wood (No. 4 Bois de Balincourt), grapefruit, orange, black pepper, cedarwood, patchouli, geranium, vetiver, amber, musk (No, 09 Vallée de Farney), cassis, bergamot, black pepper, white rose, oakmoss, musk, tonka (Antidris Cassis)
While I enjoy giving candle sets as gifts, I occasionally like to indulge myself with one, providing an easy way to scent my home with minimal effort. This stylish candle set from Maison Louis Marie has been on my wish list for quite some time, and I've finally purchased three of their best-selling candles (No. 04 Bois de Balincourt, No.09 Vallée de Farney, and Antidris Cassis) from a brand I rely on for my new home.
**Lafco**
*Fresh Cut Gardenia Candle*
Notes: Gardenia, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, cedar
Growing up, my mother adored growing gardenias and made small bouquets to spread their sweet and light fragrance around our home. Now that I have my own place, I’m keeping that tradition alive with Lafco’s candle that captures the scent of freshly cut gardenias touched by morning dew. Its gentle floral aroma is crafted from sweet gardenia, vibrant orange blossom, and ylang-ylang, combined with cedar.
**Carrière des Frères**
*Tomato Candle*
Notes: Tomato leaf
Recently, I've been quite fond of tomatoes. The tangy, sweet notes complement the garden-inspired fragrances I often burn and spray around my home, adding an earthy quality to my green florals. Carrière des Frères’ Tomato Candle smells precisely like the ripest vegetable and is made from high-quality vegetable wax that burns for up to 45 hours. Its classic design also makes it an excellent hostess gift.
**Jo Malone London**
*English Pear & Freesia Candle*
Notes: Sweet pears, white freesias
Whenever guests enter my home, I hope they first notice how wonderful it smells (with the second compliment being about the décor). What good is a lovely space without unique scents to enhance it? Jo Malone London’s English Pear & Freesia Candle has been a long-standing favorite, and I can't picture my home without it!
2. Hand Soaps
**Santa Maria Novella**
*Rosa Gardenia Liquid Soap*
Notes: Rose, gardenia
I am naturally attracted to floral fragrances that keep my space fresh without being overly powdery, and Santa Maria Novella’s Rosa Gardenia Liquid Soap quickly became a favorite after I discovered the brand two years ago. This hand soap, formulated with vegetable-derived surfactants, natural saponins, and calendula extract, creates a lovely lather and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth for hours after use.
**Molton Brown**
*Delicious Rhubarb and Rose Fine Liquid Hand Wash*
Notes: Rhubarb, rose, citrus, vanilla
While fruity-floral scents aren't typically my go-to, I’ve found myself captivated multiple times by this rhubarb and rose liquid hand soap. It provides a deep cleanse and refreshes the skin with a light foam, combining fizzy citrus, vibrant rhubarb, luscious rose, and smooth vanilla. I can't think of a better way to add a fruity touch to my self-care routine. Its elegant bottle looks stunning wherever I place it.
**Aesop**
*Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash*
Notes: Mandarin rind, rosemary leaf, cedar atlas
I’m a huge fan of Aesop, and their hand soaps are truly exceptional. If you’re looking to layer the brand’s signature scents, start with this citrus-and-herb hand soap. I love it because it lingers on the skin for hours, leaving my hands feeling refreshed and clean without stripping natural oils. Whenever Aesop soap is nearby,
