WHEN: Opened August 2024
WHY: Take a moment to relax and enjoy nature at this peaceful, all-inclusive Alpine retreat, accessible only by cable car. Perched at over 5,000 feet, Eriro is designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest and mountain range. Nearly all elements of its design were handcrafted from locally sourced materials, featuring things like hand-carved wooden bathtubs and hand-knotted sheep's wool carpets. This nine-room hotel offers traditional Alpine experiences such as barefoot hikes, yodeling lessons, craft workshops, mountain biking, and more. Room rates start at around $1,778 per night, which covers daily meals and snacks; lessons and workshops; access to saunas, pools, mountain bikes, snowshoes, hiking poles; and additional amenities.
Hotel Drei Berge

WHEN: Opened December 2024
WHY: The founder of Bode designed two guest rooms in this unique Swiss retreat. Who knew that fashion would find its way to a small Swiss village? With Bode's contribution, that’s exactly the case. The CFDA Award-winning founder, Emily, along with her interior designer husband, Aaron, decorated two of the rooms at the delightful Hotel Drei Berge in the car-free town of Mürren. Originally built in 1907 and formerly known as Hotel Bellevue, the chalet was acquired and reimagined by Ramdane Touhami, celebrated for transforming Officine Universelle Buly into a beloved destination for perfumes and lip balms. The funky retro décor features zigzag carpets and vintage flags. As of June 2025, the hotel is temporarily closed for renovations, so be sure to follow them on Instagram for updates.
Experimental Chalet Val d'Isère

WHY: Christian Louboutin is among the investors behind the chic boutique hotels of the Experimental Group. It’s never too early to plan your next skiing adventure. Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère will reopen for the winter season in early December 2025, providing access to over 180 miles of slopes. One writer from Vogue notes that the fashion crowd has only recently begun to embrace Val d'Isère over the more ostentatious ski resorts like Courchevel. The hotel’s cozy, ski-themed design is utterly charming, and their fondue is not to be missed. See you on the slopes!
Raffles Jaipur

WHY: This palatial property is a marvel of architecture and design. It's easy to see why the newly opened Raffles Jaipur made it onto Time's list of the World’s Greatest Places of 2025. The hotel boasts vibrant colors, lavish murals, hand-carved marble inlays, and traditional Indian architectural elements like jaali (intricate latticed screens) and thikri (mosaic artwork using glass or semi-precious stones). Located roughly 30 minutes outside central Jaipur, it joins other iconic Raffles properties in cities like Singapore, Jakarta, Istanbul, and Manila. Staying here may just be the closest you'll get to living like royalty.
Orient Express La Minerva
