Instead of strappy sandals, celebrities in Mayfair and Manhattan are opting for *this* shoe trend to pair with their dresses.
At first glance, Keke Palmer and Lily Allen may not appear to have much in common. Palmer is currently engaged in a hectic press tour for her forthcoming album, while Allen hasn't released new music since 2018. Additionally, Palmer frequently attends glamorous red carpet events in the U.S., such as the Met Gala, whereas Allen has been maintaining a relatively low profile in England recently. Nonetheless, both women demonstrate a shared love for a particular summer shoe trend that I have noticed on both sides of the Atlantic: peep-toe platform heels with ankle straps. In the upscale Mayfair district of London, Allen was seen on her way to dinner sporting black peep-toe platforms paired with a ruffled midi dress. Conversely, in Manhattan, Palmer opted for the same shoe trend, choosing a colorful patchwork version by Dolce & Gabbana instead of black.
