(Image credit: @kaitlyn_mclintock) My fellow beauty editors and I are a dedicated group. We continuously exchange opinions and offer recommendations regarding specific products in our group chat. While we scrutinize all beauty products, one category sparks particularly lively discussions—fragrance. We have a deep love for fragrances, and some of us are incredibly loyal to certain scents and brands. One such brand is Henry Rose, Michelle Pfeiffer's clean, unisex fragrance line. Personally, I own nearly every variant from Henry Rose, and I'm eager to share my thoughts on the scents Torn, Dave, and Windows Down with anyone willing to listen. The latter is light, fresh, and airy—one of my favorite fragrances for summer. Therefore, you can imagine my excitement when I found out that the brand launched a new, limited-edition sister scent… a fragrance that is essentially a tribute to California summers. Allow me to introduce Henry Rose's Windows Down P.C.H Eau de Parfum.

      The Original

      HENRY ROSE

      Windows Down Eau De Parfum

Notes: Neroli, grapefruit, bergamot, moss, orange flower, Earl Grey tea Imagine cruising at dusk along a winding, coastal road. The warm air rushes past from the open window, enveloping you with a sense of happiness and nostalgia. That, to me, captures the spirit of the original Windows Down Eau de Parfum. The blend of neroli, bergamot, and orange flower lends a delicate floral touch, while a splash of grapefruit keeps it invigorating. Finally, the addition of moss and Earl Grey tea provides a calming, grounded foundation. It's a light and airy aroma, never overwhelming or suffocating—even on the hottest summer days.

      HENRY ROSE

Windows Down P.C.H. Eau De Parfum

Notes: Tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, elemi oil, Earl Grey tea, orange flower, jasmine The new sister scent pays homage to the essence of the original Windows Down Eau de Parfum, while enhancing it with new citrus and woody notes. Taking inspiration from the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, it seeks to embody a drive along California's coastline. The same notes of grapefruit, orange flower, and Earl Grey tea are present, but they are now complemented by zesty tangerine and lemon, smoky cypriol wood, and jasmine. Together, these elements are designed to evoke the coastal breeze, the warm sunshine, and the towering redwoods of the north. The brand describes it as "a study in contrasts," being "bright yet grounded," and "fresh yet contemplative." To me, it feels stronger than the original Windows Down scent, likely due to the smoky cypriol wood, but I find that appealing. It gives me a feeling of strength and confidence, akin to wearing a natural blend of salty ocean mist and redwood fog, enhanced with bubbly citrus. I believe it’s safe to say I’ve found a new go-to summer fragrance... Additionally, Henry Rose's Windows Down P.C.H Eau de Parfum is a limited-edition release. Since it won’t be available indefinitely, I recommend acting quickly.
