      We are currently in an era where '90s styles heavily influence our contemporary bag trends, and I personally welcome that. The bags from the '90s were fantastic—simple, cool, and versatile without being overly complicated. However, not all '90s bag styles have made a comeback in the 2020s just yet. The dominance of shoulder bags, in all their variations, has been substantial, but Jennifer Lawrence has subtly hinted that a new trend may soon emerge.

      I am specifically talking about mini backpacks, reminiscent of those from the Clueless era. While in New York City, Lawrence was spotted with a vintage Fendi mini backpack featuring a tiger print, prompting me to take a second look. I fondly recall having several mini backpacks during my school days, including a Mansur Gavriel one from the 2010s, but they hadn't crossed my mind until now. Seeing Lawrence with that bag reminded me that I had recently noticed several mini backpacks in Miu Miu's new arrivals, which is a strong sign that this trend is resurfacing (especially given Miu Miu's influence). It's also important to note that Chanel, Prada, and Saint Laurent have consistently offered them.

      What attracts me most to mini backpacks is their hands-free functionality. While crossbody bags and fanny packs are also convenient, there's a shared understanding that we could use a new hands-free option. Perhaps mini backpacks fit the bill.
