Viktoria Shishinina, the daughter of Alexander Shishinin, the founder of the group Kombinaciya, gave new life to the song "Don't Forget".

      Exactly one year ago, on September 6, a TV series about the legendary band Kombinatsiya, founded by Alexander Shishinin, premiered. The project became one of the season’s most notable musical events, bringing the group’s hits back into the charts and giving viewers new emotions. The role of Shishinin himself was played by Nikita Kologriviy; the role of his wife Natalia was played by Natalia’s real-life daughter, actress Ulyana Kravets; and the band’s lead singers Alyona Apina and Tatyana Ivanova were portrayed on screen by Anastasia Ukolova and Elizaveta Bazyikina.

      Today the story receives a symbolic continuation. Viktoria Shishinina, the daughter of Kombinatsiya’s founder and one of the series’ main characters, has presented the song “Don’t Forget” — a new interpretation of the iconic composition written by Alexander Shishinin back in the 1980s.

      The single’s cover became a special symbol: it features a portrait of Alexander Shishinin, with Viktoria behind him, as if united with her father. It is an image of continuity and gratitude, in which past and present meet at a single point.

      “For me this is not just a song, it is a continuation of my dad — his art. I think it’s my dad’s genes that don’t let me sit still. But aside from the personal, family story — it’s a new reading of a song about love, about how we don’t always manage to be with those we love, even when we really want to. I think many listeners have gone through similar feelings,” says Viktoria Shishinina.

      Viktoria not only carefully preserves her father’s legacy, but also makes it relevant for a new generation of listeners. Immediately after the song’s premiere it became clear: the Kombinatsiya project continues to live and evolve, and Viktoria still has many new ideas and plans ahead. Fans hope not only to hear new compositions but also to see a second season of the series.
