The "Istoriya.rf" festival will showcase the country's heroes and events through the art of photography.
Submissions are open for the creative photography festival "HISTORY.RF". According to the organizers, the call for entries will remain open until October 18.
The festival offers a unique opportunity not just to capture monuments of military glory and battle sites, but to give them new life. We invite professionals and amateurs of all ages to present monuments and places of military glory from a new, unexpected and expressive angle. The winners' best works will be "brought to life" using modern digital technologies and will become part of the project. Your photographs will be transformed into dynamic visual narratives that revive pages of the past.
The categories include monumental works (statues, monuments, memorials) from the Soviet period (up to and including 1991) on the territory of Russia; contemporary examples of monumental art on the territory of Russia; monumental works installed by the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) on the territory of Russia; as well as fortresses and battlefields on the territory of Russia.
Participants aged 18 and over may submit entries, regardless of professional status. Submissions should include single works or series (up to 10 photos) with a brief description.
Evaluation criteria: relevance to the theme; artistic expressiveness; originality; technical quality.
The call for entries will remain open until October 18. Results will be announced in November 2025.
The Festival's Expert Council includes prominent state and public figures, representatives of the business community, acclaimed photographic artists and cultural figures.
The creative photography festival "HISTORY.RF" is organized by the All‑Russian public‑state organization "Russian Military Historical Society". The event is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as part of the national project "Youth and Children".
