Hailey Bieber Uses This Product to Remove Dark Circles—And Now I Do as Well!

We understand that makeup is not a universal solution, so even if a celebrity endorses a specific product, we make it a point to test it ourselves to determine if it truly lives up to the hype. This week, I decided to try Hailey Bieber's favorite under-eye corrector, the Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Serum Powered Color Corrector, to see if it could help with my stubborn dark circles. If you're unfamiliar with an under-eye corrector, it's slightly different from the typical concealer. I consider it more of a treatment for dark circles. Although it resembles an under-eye concealer, it is available in various color-correcting shades that help neutralize the shadows beneath your eyes.

      The Kosas corrector is well-loved for its creamy formula, and Bieber herself commends its ability to enhance the luminosity of your skin. Since I've recently recovered from a bad cold, my dark circles are particularly prominent right now, making it an ideal time to put this product to the test. Keep reading to see my experience.

      The Formula

      Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Serum Powered Color Corrector

      Like many products from Kosas, this formula prioritizes skin health. It's enriched with peptides and hydrating botanicals, making it a great option for those with dry skin like mine. It was also created with sensitive skin in mind, so there's no need to worry about irritating the delicate area around your eyes. The creamy texture feels serum-like and works to diminish discoloration while adding brightness. You can use it on its own as Bieber prefers, or layer it under your concealer for a more blended look.

      The Shades

      As mentioned, this product is available in a variety of color-correcting shades. There are five options to choose from, ranging from pink to deep red, depending on your skin tone. Bieber uses the shade "Magic," a very light pink, while I selected "Illusion," which has a touch of peach to help counteract the blue tones under my eyes.

      The Application

      Thanks to its creamy consistency, applying this product is effortless. I've struggled to find a suitable under-eye corrector due to my dry skin, but this one blended seamlessly into my complexion in seconds and was nearly invisible. I prefer to use my ring finger or the Hourglass Vanish™ Seamless Finish Concealer Brush (£39) to gently tap the product into my skin for a natural appearance.

      The Results

      Honestly, I didn’t expect to love this product as much as I do. I've always dealt with blue discoloration around my eyes, and this corrector nearly made it vanish. Even without concealer on top, my under-eyes looked brighter and more radiant. Believe it or not, even my boyfriend commented on how great my skin appeared.

      What impressed me most was the creaminess of the formula. Many under-eye correctors and concealers can be hit or miss, often clinging to dry skin (I sometimes need to apply an eye cream first), but this one provided a smooth, hydrated base for the remainder of my makeup look. The only drawback I noticed was some creasing by the end of the day. I suggest starting with a small amount of product, as using too much can lead to this issue. Setting the corrector (and your concealer) with powder is also advisable. While this was slightly disappointing, as someone who has tried countless makeup products over the years, I've yet to find a completely flawless under-eye corrector, and I would gladly overlook a bit of creasing for the brightening effect this product offers.
