On November 29, 2025, a commemorative concert “Connecting Spaces” dedicated to the outstanding Soviet and Russian composer Eduard Artemyev — one of the most influential and acclaimed figures in Russian musical culture — will take place at the State Kremlin Palace. The event is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and ROSCONCERT.
Eduard Artemyev is a legendary composer whose works have not only won recognition in Russia but have also gained popularity abroad. His unique style combines the richness of symphonic orchestration with an innovative approach to electronic music, making his output distinctive and relevant to this day. His film melodies have become cinema classics and have had a significant influence on the development of film music. Compositions for iconic films — Solaris, Mirror, Stalker, A Slave of Love, At Home Among Strangers (A Stranger Among His Own), Rodnya and many others — have forever entered the golden treasury of Russian cinema. Numerous awards, honors and international prizes confirm the high standing and worldwide respect for his talent.
At the “Connecting Spaces” concert, the best works of Eduard Artemyev will be performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography under the baton of People’s Artist of Russia Sergey Skripka. Special emphasis is placed on the fusion of classical and innovative elements: during the evening audiences will hear both familiar melodies and profound, rarely performed pieces. Well-known Russian artists will also take the stage, each bringing their unique contribution to the atmosphere of this special evening: Dima Bilan, SHAMAN, Aglaya Shilovskaya, Alexander Marshal, Viktor Zinchuk, Mariam Merabova, Andrey Lefler, Ekaterina Artemyeva, Sergey Vinokurov, Agunda Kulaeva, the V. S. Popov Large Children’s Choir, the Academic Grand Choir “Masters of Choral Singing,” and others. The concert will be hosted by Aglaya Shilovskaya and Sergey Shakurov.
“Connecting Spaces” is a tribute to an outstanding master who left an indelible mark on the history of Russian and world culture. The evening will be not only a celebration for fans of Eduard Artemyev’s work but also a unique opportunity for the general public to feel the power and emotional richness of the celebrated composer’s music.
