These facials can be quite expensive, often costing over $300. However, Shark has recently offered us facial enthusiasts a solution: an at-home device that mimics professional results from the comfort of your own home. I was fortunate to get my hands on one, and I can confidently say the results met my expectations. I did wish for a QR code to view a demonstration video by a professional for easier understanding of the suctioning technique, but the written instructions suffice for first-time users. The brand suggests starting with the heat attachment to prepare the skin for extraction. You then apply the included Derm Detox Gel (along with the Hydro Infuse Serum) for three minutes before using your preferred extraction/exfoliation tip to glide it across your face.

After that, the Hydro Infuse Serum is added to the device tank to help infuse it into the pores, giving the appearance of a fresh post-facial glow. The brand also recommends finishing with the cryotherapy attachment to contour and reduce puffiness. The entire process takes under 15 minutes, which I found impressively quick. Initially, I did struggle a bit with the suctioning phase; it took a few minutes to master it, but I found that applying pressure on the skin creates the needed suction before gliding the device across the face. Checking the debris tank afterward showed it removed excess oil and significantly reduced congestion in my skin. I was surprised by how effective it was for such a brief treatment. However, if you have very sensitive skin, be cautious. The gel contains both AHAs and BHAs, making it a stronger exfoliator, which caused some redness and mild irritation for me in certain areas. If you share a similar skin type, be careful not to use too much. I was concerned because of that, but the redness faded after about an hour. The real transformation occurred the next day when I woke up to glowing skin with fewer bumps and less congestion. I was thrilled. As someone who can't afford professional facials every month, this device is a real game changer. While it may not be as potent as an in-office treatment, it comes impressively close.
