The gala presentation of Jasmin’s new album "Girl from Derbent" — the most personal and emotional work of the singer’s career — took place in the Barvikha Luxury Village concert hall. The album became the artist’s musical confession of love for her roots, native land and family heritage, carefully passed down through songs, traditions and memories.

Jasmin’s new album is not just a musical work but a personal confession and a dedication to her father — choreographer and Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Dagestan, Lev Monakhimov — a man whose creative energy and love of music guided the singer from childhood. Eastern melodies have always been a part of the artist’s inner world: “These melodies are in my DNA. I grew up among them, absorbing them from earliest childhood. Over time the songs accumulated like strands of pearls until one day I realized it was time to gather them into an album. It’s very warm, very honest.”

For the singer, this release was an opportunity to reconnect with her origins and share them with the public, to go back to where it all began — the warm, sunny Derbent that lives in every note of the new album. “Derbent, Dagestan — it’s my roots, my youth, my family,” Jasmin confessed. “Each song was born from memories of my childhood, from the people and places that shaped me. I dedicated this album to my dad — a man of incredible soul and talent — and I feel that I continue his path.”

For the evening’s guests the artist created a unique atmosphere of Derbent — the city of her childhood and youth. The Barvikha Luxury Village was styled with an eastern flair, immersing visitors in the atmosphere and history of Dagestan. Jasmin personally greeted guests and led them on a tour of her native Derbent, turning the album presentation into a warm and engaging journey through the city’s streets, which for her is not only a hometown but also a source of inspiration, a keeper of family traditions and a special part of her life. The concert-hall lobby featured themed photo zones and interactive stations where artisans demonstrated Dagestani crafts: pottery, carpet weaving, grape growing and metalworking. Visitors could drop by a makeshift fruit market and sample baklava, halva and other eastern sweets, while a visiting fortune-teller offered to read fortunes from coffee grounds.

Star friends came to congratulate Jasmin on the album premiere: Philipp Kirkorov, Tatiana Navka, Dmitry and Inna Malikovy, as well as many other colleagues and close friends. On stage the singer was joined by Soso Pavliashvili, Denis Klyaver, Avi Benedi and Arsen Shakhunts, enhancing the evening with joint performances. Guests noted that the new album turned out surprisingly warm, heartfelt and very personal. Many said that Jasmin’s music feels authentic, and the eastern motifs sound particularly touching.

As part of the presentation of "Girl from Derbent," Jasmin also recalled another striking premiere of hers — the video for the song “I’m a Libra, You’re a Virgo,” in which she appeared for the first time as a woman astronaut. The work was released very recently but has already attracted viewers’ attention with its unusual visual concept and story. The video’s director Yudzhin and the singer’s filming partner, actor and singer Tornike Kvitatiani, came to congratulate Jasmin in person. The colleagues presented the artist with an unexpected gift — a real space helmet. “I had a dream — to fly into space. So far it has only come true in the video,” Jasmin smiled. “But I believe that one day it will happen in reality. Huge thanks to Yudzhin — together we made a beautiful short film in which my ship crashes and I am rescued by a handsome nomad — Tornike. He allowed me to call him Tor, and in the video that turned out to be very symbolic.”
