Dinosaurs and Data: YARKO and the Integral Research Institute will teach how to protect digital footprints

What do a dinosaur that left a footprint on the ground millions of years ago and a modern child who posts photos on social media have in common? It turns out both leave traces that can tell a great deal. Visitors to the Russian State Children's Library will be able to learn how to manage their "digital paleontology" on November 29 at a unique event held as part of the "Bright Cybersecurity" project.

The organizers are the animation company YARKO (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) and the Research Institute Integral. The partners have found an unconventional approach to teaching children digital hygiene. The key event of the day at the Russian State Children's Library will be the premiere screening of new episodes of the fourth season of the animated series "Uletnaya Dostavka," as well as a public talk on the theme "Traces in the Digital Sand." Speakers will include scientist, Moscow State University professor and Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Ruslan Gabdullin, and Igor Sviridov, Deputy Director for Cybersecurity at the Integral Research Institute.

The event program is designed for the whole family. At the end, all guests will be treated to a raffle with gifts from the animation company YARKO.

The educational program "Bright Cybersecurity" is aimed at teaching children digital literacy in a clear and engaging way, developing creative thinking and fostering a responsible attitude toward modern technologies. The program has become part of Gazprom-Media Holding's large-scale project "PROfnavigator," which helps teenagers decide on a career in the media industry.
