A gala presentation of Jasmin’s new album "Girl from Derbent" — the most personal and emotional work of the singer’s career — took place at the Barvikha Luxury Village concert hall. The album became the artist’s musical declaration of love for her roots, her native land and the family heritage carefully passed down through songs, traditions and memories.

Jasmin’s new album is not just a musical work but a personal confession and a dedication to her father — choreographer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Lev Monakhimov — a man whose creative energy and love of music have guided the singer since childhood. Eastern melodies have always been part of the artist’s inner world: “These melodies are in my DNA. I grew up among them, soaking them up from early childhood. Over time the songs accumulated like strands of pearls, until one day I realized it was time to gather them into an album. It is very warm, very honest.”

For the singer, this release is an opportunity to reconnect with her roots and share them with the public, to go back to where it all began — to warm, sunny Derbent, which lives in every note of the new album. “The city of Derbent, Dagestan — it is my roots, my youth, my family,” Jasmin confessed. “Each song was born from memories of my childhood, of the people and places that shaped me. I dedicated this album to my dad — a man of incredible soul and talent, and I feel that I continue his path.”

For the evening’s guests the artist created a unique atmosphere of Derbent — the city of her childhood and youth. The Barvikha Luxury Village space was stylized with an Oriental color and immersed visitors in the atmosphere and history of Dagestan. Jasmin personally greeted guests and led a tour of her native Derbent, turning the album presentation into a warm and engaging journey through the city’s streets, which for her are not only her hometown but also a source of inspiration, a keeper of family traditions and a special part of her life. The concert hall lobby featured themed photo zones and interactive areas where artisans demonstrated Dagestan’s folk crafts: pottery, carpet weaving, viticulture and metalworking. Visitors could drop by a “spontaneous” fruit market and taste baklava, halvah and other Eastern sweets, while a visiting fortune-teller offered anyone who wished a reading of their fate from coffee grounds.

Star friends came to congratulate Jasmin on the premiere of the new album: Philipp Kirkorov, Tatiana Navka, Dmitry and Inna Malikov, as well as many other colleagues and close friends. On stage the singer was joined by Soso Pavliashvili, Denis Klyaver, Avi Benedi and Arsen Shakhunts, enlivening the evening with joint performances. Guests noted that the new album turned out to be surprisingly warm, heartfelt and very personal. Many said that Jasmin’s music feels authentic, and the Eastern motifs sound especially touching.

As part of the presentation of the album "Girl from Derbent," Jasmin also recalled another of her vivid premieres — the music video for the song “I’m a Libra, You’re a Virgo,” in which she appeared for the first time as a woman-astronaut. The work was released very recently but has already attracted viewers’ attention with its unusual visual concept and story. The video’s director Eugene and the singer’s filming partner, actor and singer Tornike Kvitatiani, came to congratulate Jasmin in person. Colleagues presented the artist with an unexpected gift — a real space helmet. “I had a dream — to fly into space. For now it has only come true in the video,” Jasmin smiled. “But I believe that one day it will happen in reality. Huge thanks to Eugene — together we filmed a beautiful short film, in which my ship crashes and I am rescued by a handsome nomad — Tornike. He allowed me to call him Tor, and in the video that turned out to be very symbolic.”
