I go to Copenhagen twice a year—these trendy Scandinavian stores are always my first stops.

I've just returned from Copenhagen Fashion Week, and let’s say my luggage was definitely over the limit—but completely worth it. Twice a year, like clockwork, I make my way to the Danish capital, and each time, I fall even more in love with the city's effortlessly cool, slightly quirky, always stylish vibe. While fashion week is the highlight, the real enchantment happens in the shops. Copenhagen feels like my personal fashion playground, and I now have a list of stores I visit as soon as I arrive. From the renowned Danish hair accessories brand known for those viral Scandi scrunchies to one of my all-time favorite local jewelry brands with a flagship that’s so dreamy I might just want to move in, my retail to-do list is extensive, but absolutely worth it. Although there are several stores I always visit, the charm of Copenhagen also lies in wandering around and discovering hidden gems while exploring. If I don't have a particular store in mind, I enjoy strolling down Jægersborggade and Nørrebrogade, both of which are trendy streets packed with independently owned boutiques and curated shops in Nørrebro. So, if you're planning a visit (or just want to window shop), here are the eight ultra-cool Scandi shops I make a beeline for every season. Trust me—your wardrobe (and your Instagram feed) will appreciate it.

      **Pico Store**

      Address: Grønnegade 36, København 1107

Pico Store is perhaps one of the most photographed boutiques in Copenhagen. Any It girl's photo album from her city adventures would be incomplete without a snapshot of Pico's whimsical hair clips, sparkling barrettes, and rose-shaped claw clips. While the Danish brand also offers jewelry and socks, it’s mainly celebrated for its hair accessories available in various forms, making them perfect additions to any outfit.

      **LIÉ Studio**

      Address: Vognmagergade 9, 1120 København K, Denmark

In my opinion, LIÉ Studio, founded by model twins Amalie and Cecilie Moosgaard, is one of the prettiest stores in all of Copenhagen. Designed with Danish architect Julius Nielsen, the brand's small yet impressive flagship feels like you’ve stepped inside the personal jewelry box of the Moosgaard sisters. The space showcases dark wood, light floral details, and a plush Ottoman rug as its centerpiece, alongside a custom-built armoire highlighting the brand's necklaces, earrings, and rings.

      **New Mags**

Address: Ny Østergade 28, 1101 København, Denmark

For a glimpse of classic New York newsstands coupled with cool girl bookstores, New Mags is the place to go. Nestled in the quieter streets of Copenhagen’s bustling shopping district, this curated literary space features international travel guides, beautifully photographed cookbooks, art zines, and a plethora of magazine titles. New Mags is perfect for coffee table book enthusiasts—just don’t forget to grab one of their classic baseball caps or oversized tote bags, which can be spotted on stylish individuals all over the city. Even the merchandise is trendy!

      **Studio Arhoj**

Address: Skindergade 7, ST, 1159 København, Denmark

Pottery enthusiasts, rejoice. In a city known for its culinary delights, handmade mugs, plates, and bowls are essential—and Studio Arhoj is a must-visit for art and design lovers. The open-concept studio allows you to see the team creating oversized mugs and blowing small glass trinkets. Over the years, I've accumulated more than ten pieces from their collection, each one a cherished item in my kitchen cabinet.

      **By Malene Birger**

Address: Antonigade 10, 1106 København, Denmark

By Malene Birger embodies the essence of Danish style: minimalistic, elegant, and refined. It’s no wonder the brand’s flagship store reflects the design principles that Malene Birger has honed over the years. Conceptualized by Milan-based firm Dimore Studio, this boutique also hosts press and friends of the brand during fashion week for intimate dinners and events, creating a living extension of the design studio itself. With dreamy, warm, '70s-style accents throughout, recent collections are displayed in a manner that makes each item difficult to resist, much to the dismay of my credit card bill.

      **Naked Copenhagen**

Address: Regnegade 2, 1110 København, Denmark

Copenhagen’s answer to Kith? Say hello to Naked, a concept store brimming with sought-after sneakers, fresh streetwear, and trendy sunglasses. Naked is an institution within the Copenhagen fashion scene (possibly why everyone in the US is now sporting colorful "Scandi" sneakers), often hosting pop-up events and collaborations with major sneaker brands like Adidas and Salomon. It’s where I’ve managed to snag a few hyped sneakers without resorting to outrageous
