Coach Is Issuing a PSA: Here Are the 6 Accessory Trends Expected to Shape Spring 2026
Numerous fashion brands feature accessories within their collections, yet only a handful are recognized as leaders in the accessories sector. Coach is among this exclusive group. Since its founding in 1941, Coach's leather products and accessories have been esteemed and continue to be highly sought after. Recently, the brand has seen a revival as younger fashion enthusiasts have embraced its offerings. The S/S 26 collection exemplifies this shift, with each runway look clearly designed with Gen Z and their passion for new accessory trends in mind. For S/S 26, Creative Director Stuart Vevers opted for a neutral color scheme that allowed the accessories to take center stage. The silhouettes were relaxed and casual, featuring many baggy trousers paired with fitted outerwear, resembling styles you'd expect from a chic, refined New Yorker. While the footwear sported by the models was chunky and utilitarian, the accompanying pieces often provided a striking contrast. The overall looks were fresh and practical.

The S/S 26 Accessories Trends
Pouch-Pendant Necklaces and Scarves Worn as Chokers
Pendant necklaces were a prominent feature on the NYFW S/S 26 runways, and Coach found a creative way to embrace this spring trend. Staying true to its long-standing legacy as a leather goods purveyor, Vevers showcased leather kiss-lock pouch pendants worn around nearly every model's neck. As for neckwear, while spring 2025 focused on scarves tied at the waist like a belt, spring 2026 is set to highlight scarves tied around the neck to resemble choker necklaces. The fashion crowd loves innovative ways to style a silky scarf, especially when paired with a pouch-pendant necklace, a combination frequently seen on the Coach runway.

Side-Buckle Belts
Some of the most exciting trends are those that can be achieved with items already in our closets, and a key one was presented on the Coach S/S 26 runway. Simply adjust the buckle of your leather belt to one side of your body. Time after time, models were styled in baggy trousers with leather belts featuring buckles positioned at their hip bones. It’s an easy styling technique that you can incorporate into your outfits starting now, and there's no doubt Coach has an array of stylish belts available for this.

Kiss-Lock Bags
Vintage-inspired kiss-lock bags are a trend Coach has already revitalized, and they're embracing this style even further with the S/S 26 collection. Numerous models showcased kiss-lock pouches, and even barrel bags (including the upcoming Kisslock Barrel Bag, likely to become the next It bag for Coach) and bucket bags featured kiss-lock details.

Clip-On Ties
Given the rising popularity of the necktie trend, I was not surprised to see its next evolution: clip-on ties. On the Coach runway, printed ties were casually clipped onto denim jackets, vests, and bomber jackets. This playful trend thrives on imperfection, with a focus on spontaneity.

Just One Earring
The trend of wearing a single oversized earring comes in and out of favor periodically, but if the Coach runway is any indication, it’s making a comeback for spring 2026. For maximum effect, follow the models' lead and choose an oversized, preferably geometric earring.
