It's fruitier and moodier than its predecessor and definitely merits attention. The luscious blackberry note is front and center, followed by sweet elderflower, gentle jasmine, and smoky oakwood. I describe the original Miss Dior as "sweet," whereas this version feels "bold." Both scents exude sophistication but in distinct manners. This fragrance is a chypre scent, which implies it belongs to a category known for being complex, mysterious, and captivating. Chypre scents usually feature fruity top notes, floral middle notes, and earthy or mossy base notes. For context, Frederic Malle’s renowned Portrait of a Lady is a classic example of a chypre scent.
