Ballet pumps are far from a new trend, and they're not undergoing a "comeback." They have been a staple in fashion. However, a new variety has subtly emerged on the fashion scene recently, which is noteworthy, especially with Kaia Gerber endorsing it. The model, actress, and frequent Repetto wearer (seen in styles from the Cendrillon to the Camille) was spotted in Paris exiting the Hotel Costes at the conclusion of Paris Fashion Week, alongside fellow supermodel Vittoria Ceretti. For this occasion, Gerber showcased a flawless night-out-in-Paris outfit featuring a silky black minidress, sheer tights, and black pumps—but not just any pumps. She opted for Repetto ballet stiletto pumps, which have a kitten heel reminiscent of classic ballet pumps, yet instead of a block heel, they sport a sleek stiletto heel, making them suitable for evening wear.

On Kaia Gerber: Repetto Cendrillon Pointed-Toe Pumps ($585); Givenchy Mini Voyou Bag ($2150); Thistles The Atlas Sunglasses ($335).

Specifically, Gerber wore a pair of Cendrillon Pointy 45 Pumps, which have a slightly pointed toe while retaining most features of the traditional Cendrillon ballet flats (with the addition of the stiletto heel, of course). While she chose classic black, this silhouette also comes in burgundy patent leather, and Repetto offers a taller 75-millimeter version as well. This alternative to traditional ballet flats is a style we are starting to see emerge at our favorite shoe brands, including Mansur Gavriel. Labels such as The Row and Miu Miu are also embracing heeled variations of ballet flats, favoring thicker heels while still presenting a more elegant appearance than standard ballet pumps. At Chanel's Métiers d'Art show, the brand showcased a luxurious pair of satin ballet pumps, which are now available. Clearly, this isn't a trend that will fade away anytime soon.
