Fashion enthusiasts are unwilling to retire this three-year-old It coat, which has become a favorite among WWW editors.
Certain trends shine brightly before vanishing in an instant, while others linger long enough to become essentials. Then there are the unicorn pieces—those items that fashion enthusiasts cling to, regardless of how many new must-haves emerge. For me, and genuinely most of the WWW team, that piece is the Toteme Scarf Jacket. Even after reaching its peak almost three years ago, it still feels just as fresh and effortlessly stylish as when it first launched. If you ask anyone in the office, you'll find that this coat has firmly captured our hearts. At this juncture, the Toteme Scarf Jacket has essentially evolved into my unofficial winter uniform since I purchased my own during a visit to Toteme's flagship store in Sweden. My other coats come and go like seasonal decorations, but this one? It has a permanent spot on the hook by my door, always ready to wear.
The Toteme Scarf Jacket truly excels. Its minimalist design is accented just enough to attract compliments on the street. (I receive at least three DMs every time I share a photo wearing it.) The built-in scarf drapes seamlessly every single time—no need for adjustments—instantly enhancing a basic jeans-and-t-shirt look. The sleek lines, soft structure, and understated luxury feel without any forced effort make it a piece you never tire of wearing. This is the reason why editors, influencers, and essentially everyone who owns it refuse to part with it. Below, you can find our editors’ thoughts on the Toteme scarf coat.

"I'm a huge fan of everything Toteme, but I particularly invest in their outerwear. The brand has essentially set numerous coat trends, including the scarf coat trend. I opted for this light-gray version with contrasting stitching because it wasn’t widely worn in this shade, and I appreciated how well it would pair with both casual and dressy outfits. I also love its roomy fit, which allows me to wear it over any sweater despite it being unlined."

"My Toteme scarf coat is truly a cherished heirloom for me. For years, I mistakenly thought that working in fashion while being plus-size meant that my outfits, no matter how accessorized with trendy items and designer pieces, could never be top-tier because I couldn’t fit into luxury ready-to-wear clothes. How wrong I was. I came across this Toteme jacket at the brand’s flagship store in Stockholm during a press trip and bought it after just trying it on briefly. I had admired it online, but wearing it and feeling its construction made me fall even more deeply in love. Since then, I haven’t gone a week in winter without wearing my scarf jacket. I’ve sported it in Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, Copenhagen, and, of course, New York. I chose the chocolate-and-ivory color combination because I wanted something less conventional than the typical black-and-white, which has proven to be a good choice since it’s often my go-to jacket when temperatures drop into the 40s in New York. My only complaint is that the scarf tends to slip off my shoulder when carrying my work tote or another heavier bag. However, I would prefer to constantly readjust the scarf rather than be without this jacket entirely."
