      Mollie Mandel, an integrated marketing director for luxury at Who What Wear and Marie Claire, reminisces about her "almost" decade-long romance that began with a study abroad trip in London during the summer of 2016. She recalls, “I first met Matthew at his fraternity party in the spring of my junior year, where his band was playing. I turned to a friend and said, 'Who is that?' Later, I found out he would also be studying in London that summer and joked, 'Maybe I'll fall in love with Matthew Stewart this summer.' Little did I know that’s precisely what would happen when we arrived in London and fell in love." Their romance blossomed in London and continued across the states with years of long-distance dating between New York and Atlanta. Mandel describes, "After years apart and moving to Nashville, Matthew surprised me with a proposal in Central Park while I was in New York for work. Both our parents were involved, including my grandma, who handed Matthew the ring my grandpa used to propose to her 70 years ago in NYC."

      Following their engagement, the couple quickly decided on Blackberry Farm, a picturesque 4,200-acre estate in Walland, Tennessee, nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, for their wedding venue. Mandel explains, "Living in Nashville made this place significant for us as a couple." They celebrated their wedding on a cool November weekend in 2025, bringing their vision to life with autumnal floral arrangements. The bride's attire featured pieces from Danielle Frankel, Lein, and vintage Ralph Lauren, while a performance by the groom's college band added a nostalgic touch to their celebration.

      The three-day weekend commenced with a candlelit family dinner in the wine cellar.

The dress featured stripe-and-paisley patchwork, seamlessly connecting my weekend looks. For something borrowed, I wore my best friend Kat's wedding earrings from Sophie Buhai and an antique cuff from the 1800s gifted to me by my bridesmaids."

Ariella decorated the tables with stunning florals, mounds of moss, golden pears, and beautiful mushrooms. Since Matthew loves fishing, the Yallarhammer setting tied perfectly into our theme!"

      "We enjoyed dinner surrounded by lights and candlelight, with lanterns flickering over the pond, and later invited guests to an outdoor concert featuring Wilderado, one of our favorite bands and a family friend—a weekend highlight I will always cherish."
