      As a beauty editor, I am quite particular about my eyebrows, particularly when it comes to eyebrow pencils. If a pencil doesn't feature a micro-fine tip, it won't find a place in my makeup bag. I find many brow pencils from various brands to be excessively thick and bulky, which isn't to my preference. While they can be useful for shading and defining, I need precise strokes to even out my thick but uneven brows before I set them with brow gel. That's why I have a preference for using a micro-fine nib, which allows me to fill in sparse spots without making it obvious that I've drawn on my brows. Even though the dip-brow look from 2016 may be making a return as a beauty trend, I'm not interested in revisiting it.

      Micro-fine brow pencils help achieve a natural "no makeup" makeup effect for brows. They are ideal for those seeking a subtle brow appearance or a feathery finish, providing definition stroke-by-stroke without appearing heavy. Personally, I appreciate them for creating balance in my brows (I understand they’re meant to be sisters, not twins, but mine hardly look related). I add a few strokes at the front of my left brow, which is sparser, and enhance the arch of my right brow to achieve more symmetry.       This is undoubtedly the finest brow pencil I've encountered. Its angular nub is slender, allowing you to create feathery brow hairs with the sharp edge or fill in areas with the flatter side. The pencil also has a flat surface on the brush lid, enabling you to sharpen the nib after several uses. I love how it helps me create realistic brow hairs to shape my brows and define sparse areas where other pencils tend to be too bulky. My only negative point is that it depletes fairly quickly, making it quite pricey, yet I’m still happy to purchase it. A fun fact: during an interview with Gracie Abrams, she complimented my "great eyebrows," and I was using this very pencil.

      2. ***Morphe Nano Brow Pencil***

      This pencil is fantastic for the price, and I have repurchased it several times. Its micro-fine tip, at just 0.9mm, delivers incredibly fine strokes without tugging, allowing you to mimic brow hairs precisely. It glides on smoothly and offers the perfect amount of pigmentation without requiring much pressure. I love using it to fill in sparse areas at the front of my brow without it appearing blocky or heavy, but it can also be layered for a fuller effect. It's an excellent addition to your makeup collection if you want a pencil that maintains a precise tip without the need for sharpening. Your brows will look so feathery and soft that people may wonder if you've undergone brow lamination.

The creamy pigment applies smoothly, yet retains enough structure to last throughout the day. Unlike many brow pencils that can feel flimsy, this one has a luxurious feel in your hand. You can also utilize the flatter side of the nib to shape and add dimension to your brows.

      Merit Beauty promotes effortless beauty, and true to form, this pencil is among the easiest to use and most natural-looking. The soft gel formula glides on effortlessly, and the fine nib lets you draw delicate brow hairs one by one for a feathery look, while the spoolie diffuses the pigment for a subtle finish. The chrome packaging adds a chic touch to your makeup bag.
