Construct a constellation and ask the astronaut: how will April 12 be celebrated at "Dream Island"?
The cultural and entertainment cluster "Island of Dreams" has prepared a special program for Cosmonautics Day. On April 12, 2026, an open program of the International Techno-Scientific Educational Forum (TNF) with the participation of BRICS countries will take place in the city promenade space. The event will unite science, education, and live communication with experts in the space industry.
Guests can look forward to a concert by students of the Dominik Joker School JockerSchool on the central stage. The program will continue with meetings with professionals from the space industry. Test pilot cosmonaut Oleg Blinov will talk about life in orbit, working in zero gravity, and what Earth looks like from a porthole.
Also included in the program is a Q&A session with aerospace engineer Nikita Matasov. Participants will learn how rovers work, what technologies have come into everyday life from the space industry, and what prospects space exploration opens up.
The interactive part of the program includes quizzes and trivia about cosmonautics. Guests will be able to test their knowledge, learn more about Yuri Gagarin's preparation for flight, understand how rockets work, and get acquainted with future space missions. A separate block will be dedicated to astronomy—participants will be told what can be seen in one of the largest telescopes in Europe.
Throughout the day, there will be an animation zone with interactive stations and creative activities. The festive atmosphere will be created by artists dressed as cosmonauts: they will interact with guests, engage them in games, and help them navigate the program.
Special attention will be given to workshops that combine creativity and educational formats. Participants will be able to create space compositions, learn about the structure of the Solar System, make a star-shaped keychain, and assemble their own constellation model. The program is designed for both children and adults and allows for an easy and engaging introduction to the topic of space.
Additionally, interactive stations will operate on-site, such as "Space Puzzle," where participants will assemble a model of the Solar System, "Space Black Holes"—a game of agility and precision, and "Space Balancer," which develops coordination and attention.
"Cosmonautics Day is an opportunity to talk about science through understandable and engaging formats. We have combined educational and entertainment programs so that guests can not only spend time with interest but also gain new knowledge, communicate with experts, and feel part of the space world," noted Ekaterina Loshkaryova, Deputy General Director for Marketing Communications of the "Island of Dreams."
When: April 12, 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00.
Where: "Moscow" square, city promenade of the "Island of Dreams."
The event is free. Admission is free. Pre-registration is required to participate in the workshops.
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the schedule and content of the festive program.
