      If you're searching for a designer lipstick, Celine Beauté's Rouge Triomphe is a fantastic choice. Launched in 2024, this iconic French-girl red marked the brand's initial venture into cosmetics and was soon followed by 14 additional satin-finish shades ranging from petal pink to coral to deep plum. Although the price of $78 is certainly a splurge, it is quite reasonable compared to other luxury brands (some priced over $150). Plus, it's genuinely one of the most stylish options available. Whenever I spot someone opening the gold embossed case, I can instantly tell they possess discerning taste. Celine has that unique influence on people.

      I didn't believe the brand could offer something even more sophisticated until this past February, when I was fortunate enough to try Celine Beauté's newest launch: a soft-matte lip balm. Soft, buildable, and beautifully blurred, it has become my essential for on-the-go use since I brought it home—and now, it's officially available for purchase. Keep reading for all the details on this effortless balm, including the shade I've been using for two months.

      Similar to the lipstick, the refillable balm boasts a high concentration of natural ingredients—94% to be precise—featuring black rose oil extract and hyaluronic acid spheres for a smooth and comfortable application. The color payoff is sheer yet buildable; a single swipe provides a subtle hint of color, while three or more swipes create a fresh, just-bitten look. Unlike many sheer formulations, this balm dries down to a matte finish that resembles the natural, velvety texture of lips—a true "your lips, but better" product.

      The lineup includes eight stunning shades, including one clear option, but my personal favorite is Constance. This berry-brown hue adds just a touch of powdery color to my lips, which is exactly what I seek in a tinted balm. It’s the kind of color I envision an off-duty supermodel wearing in the '90s while hurrying through NYC. The sheer balm is incredibly user-friendly, practically designed for quick application in the back of cabs.

      While the lip balm and lipstick shades aren’t direct replacements for one another, you can definitely apply a balm beneath your lipstick for added hydration. (Constance and Rose Orphée create a wonderful combination, if I may say so.) Regardless, both gems—one in gold and one in silver—deserve a spot on your vanity or in your bag as a reflection of your style. After all, these are high-quality designer lip products.
