The original "glazed donut" manicure used OPI's GelColor in Funny Bunny ($18) along with Tin Man Can Chrome Effect Powder, which provided a silvery-white topcoat giving the signature glazed look associated with stars like Hailey Bieber. However, this product has been out of stock for a while, prompting many to get inventive to replicate the celebrity favorite manicure—some opting for pearly nail polishes, others choosing press-on nails, and many booking salon visits for professional chrome finishes.

      Thanks to the resurgence in popularity of the "glazed donut" manicure (largely due to Ganzorigt's influence), OPI has reintroduced the Chrome Effect Powder under a slightly altered name: Tin Man Can Glaze. This product retains the beloved silvery-white chrome effect and pays tribute to one of the most popular nail trends in recent times. These powders are designed for OPI's GELelement at-home gel nail polish collection and in-salon gel services (though they can technically be used over traditional polish, gel is recommended).

      The silvery-white hue offers a highly reflective, mirrored finish when applied over gel polish, creating a cool, icy shine. You can use it over neutral tones for a classic "glazed donut" manicure or try it with bright or dark shades for an iced effect. Ganzorigt utilized this very product for all three celebrity manicures.

      ### Application Instructions

      To use it, start by prepping your nails (trimming, shaping, and caring for cuticles). Lightly buff the nails and cleanse them with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Apply a thin layer of OPI's GELement Base Coat ($16) on four fingers and cure under a UV lamp for 60 seconds. Repeat this for the thumb. Next, apply a thin coat of gel nail color and then use the GELement No-Wipe Top Coat ($16), applying a thin layer to four fingers and soft-curing for 30 seconds (this keeps the top coat slightly tacky for better chrome adhesion). Lightly dip the applicator into the glazing powder and rub it over the nail in circular motions before dusting off the excess and applying a final top coat, curing for another 60 seconds. Finish up with nail and cuticle oil.

      While it may seem like a lengthy process that requires practice, once mastered, you'll achieve an A-list glazed manicure at home.
