The original "glazed donut" manicure combined OPI's GelColor in Funny Bunny ($18) with the Tin Man Can Chrome Effect Powder. This product was a silvery-white topcoat that provided gel polish that stunning glazed finish now commonly linked with stars like Hailey Bieber. However, it's been out of stock and unavailable for purchase for some time. Consequently, many sought creative ways to replicate the high-profile manicure—some opted for pearlescent nail polishes to mimic the effect, while others turned to press-on nails or scheduled salon appointments for exclusive chrome finishes.

      I'm excited to share that, following the surge in popularity of the "glazed donut" manicure (largely thanks to Ganzorigt!), OPI has reintroduced the Chrome Effect Powder, albeit under a slightly different name: Tin Man Can Glaze. This is the same cherished silvery-white chrome effect that we are all familiar with, now named in tribute to one of the most beloved nail trends in recent memory. It’s the very product that Ganzorigt used to create the glazed manicures of Bieber, Jenner, and Carpenter.

      Yet there's more. OPI has also launched three new shades and six chrome-effect toppers designed for traditional nail polishes. Read on for the details!

This product is formulated for OPI's GELelement at-home gel nail line as well as for professional salon gel polishes. While it can technically be used over traditional nail polish, gel is recommended. The silvery-white shade offers a highly reflective, mirrored finish when applied to gel polish, providing a cool, icy sheen. You can apply it over neutral hues for a classic "glazed donut" look or experiment with bold colors; either way, it will give your nails that frosted shine. Ganzorigt utilized this exact product for all three celebrity manicures.

      **How to Use It**

      After preparing your nails (trimming, shaping, and caring for cuticles), the brand suggests lightly buffing the nails and cleaning them with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Next, apply a thin layer of OPI's GELement Base Coat ($16) on four fingers and cure under a UV lamp for 60 seconds. Repeat for the thumb. Then, apply a thin coat of gel nail color. Finally, take the GELement No-Wipe Top Coat ($16), apply it to four fingers with a thin layer, and soft-cure them for 30 seconds to ensure a slightly tacky surface for optimal chrome adhesion. Lightly dip the applicator into the glazing powder and rub it over the nail in circular motions, dusting off any excess before applying a final layer of top coat. Cure for another 60 seconds and finish with nail and cuticle oil. While it may sound lengthy and require some practice, mastering this technique will grant you a celebrity-worthy glazed manicure at home.
