Hailey, Kendall, and Sabrina have verified it—this $15 product is essential for achieving a celebrity-worthy glazed manicure.
Glazed nails remain a top trend—at least in the eyes of celebrities. Recently, stars like Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and Sabrina Carpenter have all flaunted different takes on the famous "glazed donut" manicure, a creation of their favorite nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt. The original formula for this "glazed donut" manicure featured OPI's GelColor in Funny Bunny ($18) along with the Tin Man Can Chrome Effect Powder, which provided the stunning silvery-white finish we now associate with celebrities like Hailey Bieber. However, this product has been unavailable for some time. To replicate the A-list look, many had to get inventive, using pearlescent nail polishes, press-on nails, or scheduling appointments at salons for unique chrome finishes.
I’m excited to share that, in response to the surge in popularity of the "glazed donut" manicure (thank you, Ganzorigt!), OPI has reintroduced the Chrome Effect Powder, now under the name Tin Man Can Glaze. It provides the same beloved silvery-white chrome finish, with a name that nods to one of the most celebrated nail trends of late. This is the exact product that Ganzorigt used for fingernails of Bieber, Jenner, and Carpenter.
But there’s more! OPI has also launched three new shades alongside six chrome-effect toppers designed for traditional nail polishes.
**Celebrity Inspiration**
Let's begin with the inspiration from celebrities. Hailey Bieber, the unofficial face of the "glazed donut" manicure, shared a springtime picture on Instagram showcasing her "vanilla French" glazed nails and bunny ears. Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner displayed her favorite L'Oréal Paris makeup items while featuring the classic "glazed donut" manicure, also crafted by Ganzorigt. Lastly, Sabrina Carpenter showcased her "bedazzled glaze" manicure, also done by Ganzorigt.
**OPI's (Relaunched) Tin Man Can Glaze Chrome Effects Powder**
Here is OPI's Chrome Effects Powder in Tin Man Can Glaze. Initially named Tin Man Can, it has been renamed to honor the now-iconic "Glazed Donut" manicure designed by Ganzorigt. It’s formulated for OPI's GELelement line of at-home gel nail polishes as well as salon gel polish. While it can technically be used over standard polish, gel polish application is recommended. The silvery-white hue delivers a highly reflective, mirror-like finish when layered over gel nail polish, providing a cool, icy shine. It works beautifully over neutral shades for a classic "glazed donut" look or can be tried with bright or dark colors to achieve an iced appearance. Ganzorigt used this specific product for all three celebrity manicures.
**How to Use It**
After preparing your nails by trimming, shaping, and performing cuticle care, the brand advises lightly buffing the nails and cleaning them with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Next, apply a thin layer of OPI's GELement Base Coat ($16) to four fingers and cure it under a UV lamp for 60 seconds. Repeat this step for the thumb, then apply a thin coat of gel nail color. Finally, grab the GELement No-Wipe Top Coat ($16), applying a layer to four fingers and soft-curing them for 30 seconds to create a tacky surface for the chrome to adhere. Lightly dip the applicator into the glazing powder and rub it on the nail in circular motions. Brush off the excess and finish with a final top coat, curing it again for 60 seconds. Complete the process with nail and cuticle oil. Although it may seem lengthy, and it might take some practice, you can achieve a professional-looking glazed manicure at home.

OPI has also introduced the Infinite Shine Glaze Toppers, sheer chrome and micro-glitter polishes that can be used alone or layered over standard (non-gel) polishes to create an effortless glazed effect. There are six shades available, including:
