From the Farmers Market to Date Night: Bella Hadid Has a Fragrance for Every Occasion—Here’s Her Personal Guide.

      Is the concept of a signature scent overrated? That’s a question I found myself pondering after I had the opportunity to pose all my fragrance-related inquiries to Bella Hadid, supermodel and creator of 'Ôrəbella. The brand recently launched three new hair and body mists to complement its critically acclaimed perfumes, which is why we had our Q&A session. After discovering how she utilizes these mists, I've come to embrace my long-held perfume preferences. In my opinion, I’d prefer to have a diverse fragrance wardrobe rather than settle on just one signature scent.

      In true 'Ôrəbella style, the new hair and body mists boast bi-phase formulas that prioritize skin health. They are hydrating, free from alcohol, and crafted to enhance your presence with a blend of fine fragrance notes and essential oils. Unlike the brand's perfumes, these mists are light, "spontaneous," and intended for a "fluid" fragrance experience. Hadid frequently combines and experiments with her scents by layering them in unique ways. I’ve always perceived fragrance as deeply personal; it’s not solely about how one smells, but also how one feels in their own skin. The parfums are very deliberate, serving as a grounding ritual. However, I sought something that could accompany you in a more fluid, spontaneous manner; something you can easily reach for throughout the day for a quick refresh. That’s the inspiration behind the mists.

      I loved the concept of creating a format that is lighter, effortless, and meant for generous application—on your hair, on your skin—layered however you prefer. Additionally, making them alcohol-free was essential to me (as that aligns with what ‘Ôrəbella embodies!), so they feel hydrating and nurturing rather than drying. It shifts the focus from merely “putting on perfume” to an ongoing, joyful sensory ritual that you can return to—a form of expression that’s free and truly resonates with your daily life.

      There are three scents. Let’s begin with Gardenia's Whisper. How does it resonate with you, and what places, memories, or feelings does it evoke? Gardenia’s Whisper is very gentle from the start; it introduces a hint of rhubarb that isn’t sharp, but rather a soft lift that smoothly transitions into a creamier essence. The jasmine and gardenia appear in a subtly intimate, skin-like manner; it’s floral, yet diffused, as if it’s part of you rather than just sitting on the surface.

      As it develops, the warmth of vanilla and cashmere wood ties everything together, imparting a comforting, almost nostalgic softness while avoiding heaviness. It’s a scent that doesn’t demand attention; it draws people closer. Very personal, very understated, and fundamentally about the intimacy of something being solely yours.

      What about Nectar's Dew? Nectar Dew feels like stepping into a garden under the morning light, where everything is still dewy, soft, and just starting to bloom. It begins with a fresh, almost effervescent juiciness of pear and fig, accented with a hint of citrus—like fruit gently warmed by the sun but still touched by the morning chill. It then transitions to peony and orange blossom, which feel ethereal and petal-like, akin to walking among flowers that still hold droplets of water. As it settles, it warms and grounds with soft musks and tonka, yet it retains its lightness. It seamlessly integrates with your skin, providing a natural, glowing sensation. It encapsulates that feeling of fresh skin, open air, and tranquil moments in nature, as if everything is new, and you're starting the day anew.

      And what about Golden Brulee? Golden Brulee is the warmest and most enveloping of the trio. It opens with a rich, spiced softness that feels immediately comforting, almost like warmth against the skin. Then comes the plum, deep and slightly syrupy, merging with tobacco and cashmeran in a way that feels textured and a bit addictive.

      As it settles, it showcases creamy warmth, tonka, and vanilla, but not overly sweet. It’s more of a soft, glowing sweetness that lingers and envelops you. It conveys a sense of indulgence while still being effortless, reminiscent of golden light at day's end when everything softens and slows down.
