From the Farmers Market to Date Night: Bella Hadid's Fragrance Recommendations for Every Occasion—Here’s Her Personal Guide.

Is having a signature scent overrated? That’s a question I found myself contemplating after having the opportunity to ask Bella Hadid, supermodel and founder of 'Ôrəbella', my many fragrance-related inquiries. The brand has just launched three new hair and body mists to complement its well-reviewed perfumes, which prompted our Q&A. After discovering how she incorporates these mists into her routine, I've come to terms with my long-standing fragrance preferences. In my opinion, I would rather have a diverse range of scents rather than just one defining fragrance.

In characteristic 'Ôrəbella style, the new hair and body mists feature bi-phase formulas that focus on skin health. They are hydrating, alcohol-free, and crafted to enhance your presence with a blend of fine fragrance notes and essential oils. Unlike the brand’s perfumes, these mists are light, "spontaneous," and intended for a "fluid" fragrance experience. Hadid frequently blends and experiments with her scents by layering them in unique combinations. Below, check out our exclusive interview and Hadid's essential tips for choosing the right scent for any occasion.

What led you to expand beyond perfume and develop hair and body mists? I’ve always viewed fragrance as deeply personal; it’s not only about scent but also about how it makes you feel in your body. The parfums are very deliberate, serving as a grounding ritual. However, I wanted something that could accompany you in a more fluid, spontaneous manner—something you can easily reach for throughout the day for a quick refresh. That’s the inspiration behind the mists.

I loved the concept of a light, effortless format meant for generous use on your hair and skin, allowing you to layer as you please. Also, creating them without alcohol was crucial for me (since that’s central to ‘Ôrəbella!), ensuring they feel nurturing and hydrating instead of drying. It shifts the focus from “applying perfume” to a continuous, joyful sensory ritual that you can immerse yourself in—something expressive, free, and that flows with your daily life.

Let's discuss the three scents. First is Gardenia's Whisper. How does it make you feel, and what memories or associations does it evoke? Gardenia’s Whisper is very gentle from the start; it has a hint of rhubarb that acts as a soft lift, quickly evolving into a creamier aroma. The jasmine and gardenia present themselves in a subtle, skin-close manner; it’s floral yet muted, as if it’s part of you rather than just sitting on top.

As it settles, the warm notes of vanilla and cashmere wood meld everything together, creating a comforting, almost nostalgic softness that never feels heavy. It’s a scent that doesn’t overpower but invites people in. Very personal, understated, and truly about that intimate feeling when something is uniquely for you.

Next, tell me about Nectar's Dew. Nectar Dew feels like stepping into a garden as the morning sunlight begins to shine, with everything still dewy and just starting to bloom. It opens with a fresh, almost sparkling juiciness of pear and fig, complemented by a hint of citrus, like fruit warmed gently by the sun while still kissed by morning chill. Then it transitions into peony and orange blossom, which feel light and petal-like, as though you’re strolling through flowers still holding droplets of water. As it settles, it gains warmth and grounding from soft musks and tonka, yet retains its lightness, seamlessly blending into your skin in a naturally glowing way. It embodies that feeling of fresh skin, open air, and tranquil moments in nature, as if everything is new and the day is just beginning.

And what about Golden Brulee? Golden Brulee is the warmest and most enveloping scent of the three. It opens with a rich, spiced softness that feels immediately comforting, almost like warmth on your skin. Then, the plum note emerges, deep and slightly syrupy, intertwining with tobacco and cashmeran in a way that feels textured and a bit addictive.

As it dries down, it transforms into a creamy warmth of tonka and vanilla, but without being overly sweet. It’s more of a slow, glowing sweetness that lingers and wraps around you. It conveys a sense of indulgence yet remains effortless, reminiscent of golden light at day’s end when everything softens and slows down.

These body mists are meant for layering. Do you have a favorite combination that you’ve been enjoying lately? I’ve been loving Nectar Dew as a base and then adding a bit of Gardenia's Whisper on top. It provides that fresh brightness with a lovely floral blend, allowing it to evolve throughout the day. However, I don't strictly adhere to one combination; it always depends on my mood. Plus, I enjoy layering them over my skin parfums. Start with a parfum directly on the skin for long-lasting moisture and glow, and
