      I own 13 pairs of jeans—believe me, I counted them twice. My latest addition is the Agolde 80's Jean. I'm always searching for a new denim silhouette, and when I tried on the tapered style, I was convinced I didn't have anything similar in my wardrobe. It looked and felt like it came straight from an '81 DeLorean. Just from the name, I had a hunch I would love it. At only 22, I might be a bit secretive about my passion for '80s fashion—though it’s probably not a secret anymore. I adore everything from Madonna in Who's That Girl? to Melanie Griffith in Working Girl to Whitney Houston in the "Greatest Love of All" music video. I'm particularly fond of exaggerated shoulders, acid-wash denim, power suits, layers of lace, ultra-high-waisted jeans, cropped jackets, and so on. Drawing comparisons between the parachute pants of the '80s and the balloon trousers of 2026, the tapered-leg pant is making a triumphant return.

Slightly baggy, this denim style is aptly named. I’m sure I’ve seen this shape on '80s icons like Pat Cleveland and Sade (especially in the double-denim look photographed by David Montgomery). I might be a bit biased due to my love for lesser-known '80s films, but I found the high-waisted, tapered-leg style to be flattering. Commuting to NYC, jeans can sometimes feel stiff and restrictive—but not the 80's Jean. Made of 100% cotton, the fabric was breathable and comfy, moving with me all day while I juggled previews and showrooms. The front pleats held up nicely throughout the day, with only a few fold lines showing wear, which I personally find charming. I’m already eager to style these jeans again—they were that comfortable.       When I think of an elevated basic, the Romily Tee comes to mind. Those who know me are aware that I’m a huge proponent of layering a long-sleeve shirt under a crewneck tee. The Romily Tee does that effortlessly. Made from organic cotton jersey, the tee is light and breathable. The fit is flattering with a natural crop at the waist. Even with two layers, the shirt moved well and never felt constricting. I especially liked the semi-sheer long sleeves and how they gathered at the wrists and elbows for an effortlessly chic look.
