Blue Ivy has just made her Met Gala debut alongside Beyoncé, and it's making us feel old as well.

We made it! It's finally the first Monday in May, meaning the most stylish celebrities and influencers are making their way up the well-known steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2026 Met Gala. This year, the museum will host an exhibition titled Costume Art, and the theme for the event is Fashion Is Art. Guests were invited to "convey their personal connection to fashion as a physical art form and celebrate the numerous representations of the adorned body throughout art history," and many have complied with the request, though there are always a few who dare to stray from the theme, often receiving criticism for it. Of course, cohost Beyoncé is well aware of the expectations, effortlessly rising to the occasion as she always does, alongside her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who is making her Met Gala debut tonight.

(At her last Met Gala in 2016, she wore a peach latex gown by Givenchy.) The crown was not her only decorative accessory; she also worked with Chopard to curate an array of diamond pieces, including a necklace crafted from 18K white gold featuring a 6.41-carat brilliant-cut diamond alongside 140 carats of additional diamonds, not to mention the bracelet, earrings, and rings.

A diamond necklace with a yellow diamond pendant was the highlight of her ensemble, while her brown cat-eye sunglasses added a laid-back coolness only a 14-year-old girl could achieve. Yes, she's 14, and yes, we're feeling a bit nostalgic ourselves. On the red carpet, Beyoncé radiated pride, remarking, “She looks so beautiful," in reference to her daughter. "It’s amazing to share [her first Met Gala] with her.” She also complimented her daughter's red carpet posing, saying, “She was ready! She is ready.” Check out the mother-daughter duo from different angles below.
