Our Live Responses to Every Significant Moment on the 2026 Met Gala Red Carpet
For some, today marks just another first Monday in May. However, for fashion enthusiasts and celebrity style followers, it's Met Gala Monday. This is undoubtedly the most awaited event of the year for us at Who What Wear. The anticipation for who will grace the red carpet (a closely-guarded secret until the moment arrives) has been escalating, and we're finally at the moment of revelation, alongside their outfits. As always, many of the most memorable looks from this evening's Met Gala will become part of fashion history. Joining Anna Wintour as co-chairs this year are Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, so we certainly have that to look forward to. The dress code for this year's Met Gala is "Fashion Is Art," designed to align with the Met's exhibition theme, Costume Art. As usual, we’ll be closely monitoring those who adhere to or stray from this dress code, although this year’s theme is somewhat less defined, allowing for broader interpretations that could lead to a fascinating red carpet.
In addition to our live coverage of the Met Gala on Instagram, where we'll be highlighting the best fashion and beauty looks of the night, you can also follow along here for our real-time reactions to the evening's standout moments. Stay tuned!
