Our Real-Time Reactions to Every Significant Moment on the 2026 Met Gala Red Carpet
For some people, today is merely the first Monday of May. However, for those who keep an eye on fashion and celebrity trends, it's Met Gala Monday. This event is undoubtedly the most awaited occasion of the year here at Who What Wear. The excitement surrounding who will step onto the red carpet (which is always a closely guarded secret) has been mounting daily, and we finally arrive at the moment when we discover the answers, along with their outfits. As is customary, many of the most memorable looks from tonight's Met Gala will become part of fashion history. Besides Anna Wintour, this year's cochairs include Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, giving us plenty to look forward to. The dress code for this year's Met Gala is "Fashion Is Art," designed to complement the theme of the exhibition, Costume Art. As always, we'll be closely monitoring who adheres to the dress code, although the theme can sometimes be a bit vague—this year is definitely one of those instances. Nevertheless, a theme that permits broader interpretations can lead to a captivating red carpet experience.
