We’ve all had that moment. You envision exactly what you want to wear during your trip to [insert destination]. You might even have a complete PowerPoint presentation, but then unforeseen circumstances, a dismal forecast, or what the French call "un temps de chien" can throw everything off course. Realizing you're missing something crucial as you unpack your suitcase is an experience I wouldn't wish on even my worst enemies. Although there's nothing worse than shelling out for excessive luggage fees only to find you lack sufficient functional pieces, there is a silver lining: it gives you a reason to visit Zara. While I usually prefer to shop at vintage pop-ups in Paris’s Le Marais district, my situation became a bit desperate in those initial weeks. Not only did I accidentally ruin my favorite Nordstrom tank top in the washer (French laundry machines are a puzzle), but Paris's relentless rain and my plans to head south also indicated that a trip to Zara was in order.
