The moment you open your suitcase only to find something essential missing is an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. While nothing compares to facing hefty luggage fees only to realize you lack enough functional items, there is a silver lining—an excuse to visit Zara. Honestly, though I lean towards shopping at vintage pop-up stores in Le Marais, my situation became urgent during those first few weeks. Not only did I accidentally ruin my favorite tank top from Nordstrom (French washing machines can be tricky), but the relentless rain in Paris and my plans to head south made it clear that I needed to make a trip to Zara.
