We've all encountered those fashion norms we've labeled as "outdated" and arbitrary, yet there are still some reliable rules we can revisit. Taylor Swift appears to concur. Last night, while on her way to her favorite recording studio in NYC, Swift was seen sporting a trend of matching accessory colors that I personally haven't embraced since middle school. Nonetheless, she pulled it off with remarkable style.
Swift donned a stylish beige polo shirt paired with high-waisted blue jeans and tan block-heel sandals from Gucci. The accessory-color trend she showcased came in the form of coordinating pieces, specifically in cognac leather. Her vintage Chloé Penelope bag matched perfectly with her belt and Gucci sandals. Although matching accessories may be considered a somewhat old-fashioned style rule, many are choosing to free themselves from the constraints of following such rules, and Swift exemplifies the idea of simply wearing what feels right. She appears polished, chic, and playful rather than awkward, unlike how I felt in middle school.
