      When the heat makes it hard to think, there's one brand I find myself wearing time and again: Cou Cou. It has become my go-to choice for summer, and I now have a small collection of pieces that I can confidently say are worth the investment. Initially, I hesitated to spend on the label's basics, but after I finally went for it, I quickly understood the excitement surrounding it and became a loyal fan myself. My first buys were the pointelle midi slip and the tank-and-slip-skirt set, both in black, and they turned out to be the most frequently worn items in my wardrobe last summer. I became enamored with the pointelle fabric during the heat waves in NYC since it is so breathable and light.
