      Some people are steadfastly loyal to a particular candle scent in their homes and never waver. I think most of us have someone in our lives who swears by a Diptyque Baies, Le Labo Santal 26, or Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. Then there are those, like me, who are constantly searching for the latest and most talked-about candles to include in their collections, alongside our reliable favorites. As someone who purchases nearly everything online, I often make blind candle purchases, but I usually dive deep into reviews beforehand. This time, however, I'm the one providing a review.

      I am a luxury candle enthusiast, and I've noticed a few standout candles this year. Some are brand new while others continue to maintain their popularity. Naturally, I was more than willing to test them in my home, which allows me to substantiate my recommendations. Among the coveted brands I experienced in real life were Trudon, Loewe, Diptyque, Flamingo Estate, Le Labo, and LAFCO.       **Trudon Figuerie**

      Having a candle from this legendary French fragrance house at home signifies refined taste, and their scents are as sophisticated as their containers. While many brands offer their take on a fig-scented candle, I haven't come across one quite like Trudon's latest release, Figuerie.

      **My Review:** Trudon’s Figuerie candle is nothing like the fruity fig scents you might expect. It offers an earthy, woody fragrance inspired more by the fig tree than its fruit. The dominant fig-leaf note is blended with hyacinth, tasuki patchouli, and sandalwood, adding an unexpected depth and powderiness. This is truly elegant fig, complemented beautifully by the stunning sage-green vessel, especially when lit. It’s a delightful choice for the warmer months and makes for a great gift, as is typical of Tronon’s creations.

      The Classic Candle in Figuerie

      **Diptyque Shiso and Rhubarbe**

      We all adore Diptyque's iconic candle fragrances. Feu de Bois, Baies, Roses, Figuier, Tubéreuse—the list is extensive. This popular brand frequently introduces limited-edition scents throughout the year and occasionally expands its permanent collection. The two I tested are part of their permanent range released alongside new ribbed-glass vessels, which are absolutely stunning.

      **My Shiso Review:** I wasn't familiar with shiso before receiving this candle, but I'm pleased to now have made its acquaintance. This Japanese herb, part of the mint family, emits a light, green aroma with a slight spiciness. Diptyque has added almond notes to balance out the herby scent. It’s a fresh fragrance that is perfect for summer. However, since it’s rather subtle, I recommend using it in smaller rooms.

      **My Rhubarbe Review:** Describing Rhubarbe satisfactorily is a challenge, but here it goes. This scent is vegetal, inspired by rhubarb stalks with a hint of sweetness. It belongs to the green category, like Shiso and Figuier, but is a bit more intense. It has very faint patchouli notes. I’ve enjoyed lighting this candle in the kitchen, be it day or night.

      **Loewe Pistachio**

      It’s hard to imagine a candle appealing more to fashion aficionados than a Loewe one. The glazed terra-cotta containers alone justify the investment, but the fragrances are equally remarkable. Loewe’s Home Scents are pure and concentrated, noticeable in the air throughout the day, even when unlit. Pistachio is the latest addition to their nature-inspired candle collection.

      **My Review:** If you enjoy gourmand candles, Loewe Pistachio will be a favorite. It's creamy and sweet without being overwhelming. There’s nothing artificial or overly sugary about it. When lit, it releases a warm, milky fragrance, which I initially thought would be better suited for the fall and winter, yet it has been delightful even on hot 95-degree days. The only downside is that it’s almost too beautiful to burn.
