The Top Cyklar Bodycare Products: An Editor's Review
When it comes to body care, I've always preferred fragrance-free products. I believe that scented body washes, lotions, and oils tend to be overpowering or clash with my favorite perfumes instead of enhancing them. However, there are a few unique exceptions, and Cyklar is one of them. For those unfamiliar, Cyklar is a well-known online body care brand recognized for its luxurious formulations and elegant scents. It boasts 13 signature scents built around individual notes—think vanilla, santal, neroli, bergamot, and more. With a smart range of essential body care items, it's perfect for fragrance layering. You can begin with a scented body wash, follow it up with body oil and then perfume… you get the gist. By the end, you'll be ready to receive plenty of "You smell amazing" compliments throughout the day.
**The Scents**
Cyklar's signature scents are too delightful for me to choose a favorite (though Vanilla Verve and Naked Neroli are strong candidates). Here’s a brief overview: Sacred Santal: A rich, luxurious scent featuring notes of cardamom, ambrette, guaiac wood, benzoin, amber, velvet musk, and cashmere wood. If you're a fan of Le Labo's Santal 33 ($250), you’ll definitely appreciate this. Vanilla Verve: This spicy, sweet, creamy vanilla radiates warmth with hints of vanilla, green cardamom, heliotrope, ambrette seed, Peru balsam, amber, musk, and tonka bean. Naked Neroli: Bright, warm, and sunlit, it includes notes of neroli, bergamot, mandarin, lemon leaf, orange flower, and jasmine. Bergamot Bond: Bright, effervescent, and tangy, it combines bergamot, lavender, bamboo, peony, verbena, and cashmere wood. Rose Bud: A contemporary floral scent that embodies "effortless charm," featuring notes of black currant, bergamot, rhubarb, hemp, violet, mate, and (of course) rose. Crescent: Light, "soothing, and nostalgic," this scent focuses on sea salt, lavender, rose, coconut woods, moss, cedar, and vanilla. Additionally, eight other scents are available as Perfume Oils (more on that later).
**Bodywash**
Cyklar's body washes, which currently occupy a spot in my shower, are oil-infused and contain sodium PCA and fatty acid water. These ingredients work together to provide deep hydration and strengthen the skin's barrier, meaning they don’t strip the skin at all. They avoid leaving my skin with that tight, squeaky sensation typical of other body washes. Instead, my skin feels smooth, soft, hydrated, and genuinely clean. The body washes are available in all six signature scents, and while it's tough to choose one, I've recently been using Rose Bud. Unlike older, powdery rose fragrances, this one is fresh, light, and modern—akin to the scent of blooming rose petals. If body wash isn't your preference, Cyklar has recently launched Soap Bars in three unique scents. These bars are enriched with microexfoliants and an AHA complex to effectively remove dead, dry skin and other impurities. You can get all three scents in the nostalgic yet sophisticated Soap on a Rope Full Collection Set ($60).
**Body Balm**
Cyklar's Body Oil Balm is one of the brand's latest additions. This product serves as an in-shower moisturizer. After cleansing, turn off the water and massage the balm onto your skin. It melts upon contact, delivering deep hydration thanks to ingredients like coconut seed butter, ceramide NP, and a multi-lipid complex. And remember, don’t rinse it off! Just step out of the shower, towel dry, and continue with your body care routine. The best part? It can also be used as a multipurpose salve. After your shower, apply it to dry areas like cuticles, elbows, knees, and heels as needed. Whichever way you use it, your skin will feel softer, smoother, and more supple. The Body Balm is also available in the signature Sacred Santal scent.
**Body Cream**
I naturally have the matching body cream. Cyklar's Body Creams feature three key ingredients: banana flower extract, which is rich in prebiotics and antioxidants; niacinamide, which helps maintain a strong moisture barrier, smooths texture, and evens skin tone; and prickly pear water, which enhances hydration due to its bioactive properties. In terms of texture, these creams strikingly balance richness with a non-greasy feel, providing moisture and an additional layer of fragrance. **Body Oil**
Currently, I have three Cyklar Vitamin C Body Oils in my bathroom, including Sacred S
