Neither the Lady nor the Saddle—this new Dior bag is set to define Fall 2026.
Dior is a renowned European fashion house known for its iconic handbags. Among its celebrated pieces are the Lady Dior, introduced in 1995 and recognized globally; the Saddle, which made its debut in 1999 and characterized the early 2000s; and the Book Tote, launched in 2018, marking the brand's most significant bag introduction since the Saddle. While these three remain central to Dior's handbag collection, a new design is subtly emerging to join them: the Dior Toujours, or rather, the revamped Toujours.
The Dior Toujours is a tote crafted by former Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri and was unveiled in the spring/summer 2023 collection. Upon its launch, it garnered significant attention as Dior's first major everyday tote in years. Currently, it is cherished for its minimalist aesthetic, soft leather, and functional shape. With Jonathan Anderson now leading the brand, he has transformed the Toujours for his fall/winter 2026 collection, giving it a relaxed silhouette that includes a detachable shoulder strap.
With September approaching and new collections gradually hitting stores and online platforms, the updated Toujours is now available for purchase, and it hasn’t taken long for fashion enthusiasts to embrace it. Celebrities like Monica Barbaro have already been spotted with the small white version in New York City, styled with a blue gingham skirt set. The refreshed design has also drawn attention internationally. At Copenhagen Fashion Week for the spring/summer 2027 season, one attendee paired it with a sharp white jacket, purple pleated trousers, and embellished sandals.
