I've sampled many high-end perfumes, yet these body mists receive just as many compliments.

It's no secret that, being in the beauty industry, I have a bit of an obsession with fragrances. I don’t mean to boast, but I often receive compliments about my scent. Whether I'm commuting to work or enjoying a night out with friends, there’s rarely a day that goes by without someone inquiring about my perfume. But here's a little secret: most of the time, I'm actually wearing a body mist. I believe that some body mists can smell just as delightful as your favorite luxury perfumes. Thankfully, one of my preferred high-end fragrance brands has introduced a line of body sprays that rivals my perfume collection. Introducing Penhaligon’s body mists.

With its first fragrance debuting in 1872, this British fragrance house truly understands the art of crafting exquisite perfumes. It has developed a devoted following among fragrance enthusiasts, editors, and beauty lovers alike, thanks to its luxurious packaging and scent narratives. However, with prices starting at £180 for eau de toilettes and £220 for eau de parfums, it undeniably occupies the luxury market. Therefore, when I learned that the brand had taken some of its most beloved scents and created a line of lighter body mists for £62, I was eager to try them out. Continue reading for my honest review of Penhaligon’s new body mist collection.

      **The Bottle**

First off, aren't they stunning? These might just be the most elegant body mists I’ve seen. Housed in a substantial sage green glass spray bottle topped with a slightly darker metallic green cap, they are designed with your vanity in mind. The mist itself is fine and lightweight, ensuring an even distribution without the risk of a direct stream that could stain or dampen clothing.

      **The Scents**

      **Halfeti**

Widely considered the brand’s top scent, Halfeti is now available as a more affordable body mist. This moody floral fragrance features notes of rose and spices, providing remarkable depth. Unlike the original perfume, the lighter character of the mist makes it suitable for both day and night wear. If you're seeking an alluring and luxurious scent, this one could be your ideal choice.

      **Luna**

Inspired by the gentle glow of moonlight, Luna is a bright, ethereal floral scent that includes notes of bergamot, rose, and balsam fir. It opens with a bright, citrusy note that gracefully transitions into a soft rose base, creating an elegant and sophisticated aroma. Its airy quality makes it practically impossible to overapply. While citrus scents aren't usually my favorite, this one is incredibly addictive and refreshing. In fact, out of the three body mists, this is the one I've received the most compliments on.

      **Empressa**

If you're after a bold, eye-catching scent guaranteed to draw compliments, Empressa comes highly recommended. With notes of blood orange, patchouli, vanilla, and peach, this vibrant fragrance strikes a sweet yet luxurious balance, perfectly straddling the line between playful brightness and rich, seductive depth. It performs well for both day and night; however, I personally feel it suits formal occasions and evenings out better.

      **The Verdict**

Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Penhaligon's body mists. Whether you wish to sample one of the brand's iconic scents before committing to the perfume or simply want a convenient fragrance option for touch-ups throughout your day, these body mists are long-lasting, carry an expensive aroma, and are visually appealing like a luxury perfume. At £62, they are priced higher than many other body mists available, but the scents' quality, the sophistication of the packaging, and the fine mist all contribute to an elevated experience compared to standard body sprays.
