As a fashion editor, I frequently traverse the city for various press engagements and studio visits. While I often remember my favorite finds, it's rare that I discover a new brand and feel an overwhelming desire to own everything it offers. That changed when I encountered Siedrés. Founded in 2020, this Turkish brand first came to my attention last year during a press event at the Bowery Hotel—an experience that still lingers in my mind.
At the appointment, dresses, skirts, and pants were displayed, most adorned with vivid patterns, textures, or embellishments—or a combination of all three. I was invited to have the fit model try on any pieces I liked, and before I knew it, I had asked her to model nearly everything. It was simply that impressive.
One look from the Siedrés press appointment truly captivated me. The details of the dresses are remarkable, like the striking silver belt on one of them. What quickly stood out about Siedrés is its ability to capture the spirit of travel. Its dresses are so desirable they might even compel you to book a flight just to showcase them on a beach somewhere. Each piece feels like a memory waiting to be created, reminiscent of a journey you need to embark on. The brand exudes joy and whimsy, offering a fresh and playful aesthetic.
Currently on my wish list is a skirt paired with a top I'm also eying. I recall another stunning dress's back design. Once again, Siedrés excels at crafting unforgettable ethereal dresses. Last November, I attended a wedding in Buenos Aires during their summer, prompting me to revamp my fall wardrobe from New York for the occasion. The first piece that came to mind was a patterned green-and-red Siedrés dress featuring long ruffles draping down the side, complemented by a matching thin scarf I could effortlessly drape over my shoulders. I received compliments all evening and couldn't envision wearing anything else.
Since that event, I've added another Siedrés item to my collection: a silver sequin skirt, which I enjoy pairing with oversized T-shirts and boxy sweaters. Currently, I have about ten items on my wish list, including a tie-front sequined midi skirt, an asymmetrical patchwork lace midi skirt, a studded slouchy bag, and embellished pink pants. It's not just me; every fashion editor I know seems to be quietly protecting the brand, which frequently sells out, despite not being widely recognized—yet.
