Nicola Peltz Beckham recently shared her brilliant "Tap and Stamp" technique for achieving flawless winged eyeliner.
In the first couple of minutes of our interview, it becomes clear to me that Nicola Peltz Beckham embodies the spirit of a supportive girlfriend. She openly confesses to dealing with the same beauty mishaps as the rest of us, such as white, pilling sunscreen, and generously shares her favorite makeup products without holding back. As a versatile millennial (an actor, writer, director, and activist), her beauty regime needs to match her busy lifestyle rather than the other way around. When discussing skincare, she relies on a few key products, with sunscreen being paramount. She is particularly diligent about applying daily SPF, making her partnership with Isdin—a Spanish skincare brand celebrated for its reliable formulas—to promote their latest SPF product, the Fusion Water Magic SPF 40, quite fitting. I had a conversation with Peltz Beckham about her collaboration, her clever "tap and stamp" winged-liner technique, and other beauty topics. Below, Peltz Beckham responds to my pressing beauty inquiries.
ISDIN
Fusion Water Magic SPF40
Let's start with this new sunscreen, which is currently her favorite. It offers complete protection from UVA, UVB, infrared, and blue light, as well as shielding against environmental pollutants and free radical damage from heat. With ingredients like hyaluronic acid, Mediterranean algae extract, and physalis pubescens, it’s lightweight and moisturizing without leaving a white residue. Type: Chemical | Texture: Serum | SPF: Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 | Size: 1.7 ounces
Isdin seems to be a favorite among many beauty editors and influencers. What attracted you to the brand? I grew up hearing my mom stress that "sunblock is the most vital thing for health and anti-aging." I enjoy watching TikTok videos to see what products girls are using and all the different sunscreens available, and I really love this one. It's great because it almost works like a primer under makeup—it looks really nice. Sometimes, trying new products before a shoot can be nerve-wracking, but protecting my skin is crucial. I feel secure using this, knowing that my makeup will look good while also safeguarding my skin.
As a beauty editor, I've lost count of the times sunscreen has ruined my makeup by either pilling or leaving a white cast. Yes, exactly. Many sunscreens leave that white residue and don't absorb into your skin; they just sit on top, causing pilling or an odd texture when applying makeup. If your skin isn’t perfectly smooth, it accentuates flaws. If I’m dealing with a breakout, I definitely don’t want to draw more attention to it.
Speaking of skincare, what does your current morning routine look like? I’m really passionate about skincare products. No matter when I go to bed, I always ensure to remove my makeup—I absolutely have to do my serums, moisturizers, the whole deal. I adore serums. As I get older, I’m increasingly learning about my skin, realizing that what works for someone else may not work for me since I have sensitive skin. I enjoy discussing skincare with other women, discovering their favorites, and experimenting with various products. I feel like my product drawer could burst; it's so full right now. But regardless, I always remove my makeup, and the quickest my routine gets is makeup remover, face wash, serum, and moisturizer—that’s the simplest version.
Does your skincare routine differ between morning and night? I really love Isdin’s Melatonik Serum for nighttime. Since my skin is very sensitive and can irritate easily, this serum helps soothe it. Honestly, I like switching things up at night. It feels right to use a thicker moisturizer then since it can really absorb into your skin while you sleep.
I appreciate that you look to TikTok for skincare tips and inspiration—it seems no one can resist TikTok recommendations! I'm an easy target. I buy everything! I’m totally that person for all the lip stains and the freckle products.
I recently tried three different peel-off lip stains from TikTok, including the blue one. Yes, that one! I love it! I haven't worn it today, but I've been obsessed with it all week.
In terms of makeup, how would you describe your signature beauty look? Oh goodness, I'm not sure. Perhaps you all can help me define it. I enjoy a cat eye and love blush. If I could take just one makeup product to a deserted island, it would definitely be blush.
Do you have a preferred formula right now? I’ve been using Benetint since I was first allowed to wear makeup, and I still adore it. I also enjoy the Dior bubblegum-pink powder to layer over it. Yes, I'm definitely a blush enthusiast. I’ve transitioned from pinks to deeper reds, which I find really lovely.
That sounds like another TikTok-inspired trend! Yes, I saw someone mention that red blush looks more natural as it
