From vibrant cherry red to soft butter yellow, food-inspired shades are prevalent in the fashion industry. One color that’s a bit less mainstream? Avocado green. However, that's the exact shade I'm eager to purchase this summer, thanks to Meghann Fahy and Reformation. She was recently spotted in New York City donning Reformation's Derin Linen Dress ($198), which is available in a delightful color aptly named Avocado. (It also comes in a light pink shade called Cherry Blossom, but that's not the trend we're focusing on today!) While classic white, black, and navy dresses deserve a place in any wardrobe, these colors aren't particularly exciting. If you're looking to attract compliments this summer, I recommend taking a cue from Fahy and trying avocado green. I have a strong feeling you won’t regret it.
